New to our Community?

Saying Hello, Ive jumped in some but never introduced myself ...(self proclaimed introvert here) :(
I love love love sweet shoppe and currently create for 3 of your fabulous designers! I'm a married SAHM to 5 from ages 27 to 9. We live in Indiana and I've created layouts digitally since 2010 with about a year and a half away due to a serious car accident that left me unable to scrap for a while...so glad to be back at it and hanging here with you all.
 
Photoshop Elements

Hi, thanks for reply Libby, how is Photoshop Elements different to Photoshop? I am pretty familiar with photoshop.
 
Ahhhh if you're familiar with Photoshop already, then that's what I'd stick with. Photoshop Elements is more of a consumer version of Photoshop. It's a nice starting place for someone who's never used Photoshop because it doesn't offer quite as much flexibility or as many bells & whistles as PS. For most scrappers though, PSE does everything they need to complete their pages.

I personally use Photoshop CS6. I know many other scrappers and designers also use various versions (Photoshop CC is the version that is currently available). So, it sounds like you'd be fine starting out in whatever version of Photoshop you're used to.
 
Hi! I've been buying most of my digi kits from sweet shoppe store, so figured I may as well jump in finally and start enjoying the forums and the rest of the site!
My name is Krissy and I live in Minnesota USA- I scrap both digitally and with paper, and just can't get enough of both! Happy to be here!
 
Hi Krissy! So glad you decided to jump in and join us! Just make yourself at home! I changed your permissions, so you should be able to comment in the gallery and start threads. You may still notice some weird stuff til you reach 10 posts though due to some spam filters we have in place. If you want to bump up to that magic 10 number faster, you can leave some love in the gallery!

Welcome! So glad you're joining us, too! As I said to the person above you, I've got your permissions all changed, so you should be able to make yourself at home. You may notice some weird stuff until you reach 10 posts, but you can leave some comments in the gallery to get that number up there quickly so that all restrictions are dropped. :)

I'm new here to the Sweet Shoppe Community. I"m really excited to see so many fantastic layouts and ideas. Ive really just recently learned how to do this digital scrapping and I am totally addicted. I love looking through the gallery and getting inspired. :p

Turns out I CANNOT figure out how to get my avatar to show up? I can see it on my profile page, but not on any of my posts. Can anyone help? I feel like the man behind the curtain in the WIzard of Oz except I'm more like one of the Lollipop kids than I am the wizard.
 
Hey Steph, I changed it for you. :) I'm not sure what the deal was. It looks like you had your "profile picture" set, and that's what you were seeing on your profile page, but the avatar was showing as broken. It looked like you'd uploaded something there... was it the same image? I'm not sure if maybe your image was too big or what, but I see you now! :)

Welcome! This is a REALLY great forum. I think you'll like it. Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of the boards and check out the Bingo game. It's really fun!

LOL Well, welcome! Please feel free to make yourself and home here! I've changed your forum permissions, so you should be able to settle in a bit. You will probably still notice some strange stuff until you have 10 posts. That's an automatic spam filter that we have in place. If you'd like to reach that 10 posts quickly, you can just leave some comments in the gallery!
 
I'm new here too and not able to leave comments in the gallery. I'm trying to finish the 20 questions for NSD and got stuck! Thanks!
 
I've been away from the Digital Scrapbook community for a couple years. So much has changed! I was so glad to discover that Sweet Shoppe is still here and the same as I remember! The other forums I frequented have all but disappeared. Looking forward to getting back to the business of scrapping!

I'd love to be able to comment on the great gallery projects. And I am super excited to give the Bingo challenges a try.

I see Meg got your permissions changed for you, but I also wanted to mention that you may still notice some weird stuff in the forum until you reach 10 posts. We have some spam filters in place, but they'll go away on their own once your each that magic number of posts. The quickest way to get to that level is just to leave some love in the gallery (which you are now able to do!)

Thank you :) I use tapatalk app often, so I find it's the easiest way to jump in. I'm on my way to find out what kind of challenges I can get myself into! Lol :)
