Are you a Thread Killer? Let the Game Begin!

So all our pressies are wrapped and packed . . doing the clothes tonight - only two more sleeps til we leave!!! AND last day of work tomorrow WOOT WOOT

I keep seeing your updates on FB, Donna, and it has me all excited for you!!

When Brandon woke up for work this morning, he jumped about 5 feet up in the air when I shout-whispered "Only 4 more days 'til Christmas!!!" I'm as excited as Maylee is!

Haha, I can just see that Kate.

Me and hubby are both coming down with something I think. My entire body hurts like I fell down a flight of stairs or got beat up. (Neither happened.) He's got the same pain plus a headache. Yuck. I'm headed to work this morning, so lets hope the roads aren't super icy.

Thanks you guys.

My kids are bouncing off the walls! They are SO excited! And they love finding our Elf, Ted, every morning. :)

How were the roads, Marla?

It's almost lunch time here. Day's going kinda slowly. I'm just messing around, not actually working much. Actually reading a little bit on my Kindle. Surfing the net. Checking forums. And of course, Facebook.

The flu has arrived at our house. I got about 3 hrs sleep over an 8 hr stretch last night. Just vegging and trying to recuperate today. It hit Jer abotu 12 hrs earlier than me and he's feeling a bit better now, so hoping I'll be feeling better tomorrow.

But, I did get the two very important things on my list done before the flu hit: stocking stuffers purchased, and got my eyebrows waxed. I feel slightly more human just knowing they look decent, lol

The roads were okay, Kate. Slightly icy in some places... We live pretty close to town so I only had to drive five miles. My hubby had to go about forty-five miles away for something or other and he said the roads there were bad. I think officially we got ten-twelve inches of snow with drifts as high as eight feet. It was a pretty awesome storm.

I hope you start feeling better Jen. I'm worried that Colby and I are both going to get sick soon.

Sounds like your weather is headed our way here in the northeast - things are starting to get a bit slick out there

And now I feel like a total intruder on this thread! LOL

we don't mind Marie! We like it when people poke their heads in and join in :) We TKG's are a friendly bunch, hehe!

I went to the library today and got a BIG bag of books. I got a ton of Kathy Reich's books, I've been dying to read the Bones series again since I got hooked on the TV version.

...not enough hours in a day!

You're not kidding, Marie! I'm a librarian for goodness' sakes, and I still never find time to read! I've been reading the same book forever now, and that's totally unlike me. It's a constant fight with me between scrapping and reading. I love both so much!

It takes me forever to read a book (well forever in my terms - LOL). I try to read for a half hour before finally going to sleep and I always take my book with me in the car so I can squeeze in 5 or 10 minutes while waiting for Cheyanne to get out of practices. That's about it these days  And yes, I want to scrap and read!

Awesome. I'm feeling okay, too... just off. It's weird. We are having a really slow day at work. I deal with farmers and 4-h kids. Neither one is rushing to really work on anything the week before Christmas. Especially when there is a ton of snow outside to play in. Oh well. I've had lots of internet time.

We don't usually get lots of snow very often so we are totally loving it. Plus, I'm in the part of the country that was hit so hard by drought last year. We got three inches of rain in a twelve month period. It was ridiculous and so hard for us in the agricultural world to make a living without water. I feel like we are finally making a come back and may start a recovery from the drought.

That would definitely be a good thing - I know there are so many areas that have been so dry. It's too bad the weather can't spread itself out evenly!:D

oy. spoke too soon about feeling better. We went out for dinner and all I had was some bread and potatoes and I started feeling sick almost immediately. There goes our date night :(

Hope you feel better, Jenn, and Marla, I hope you can avoid the sickness. Yuck. I think I'm winning my battle.

I hear ya on not reading much lately. I haven't been able to pick up my kindle all month, since I know I have so much to do, I just don't read much right before Christmas!

Welcome Marie!

YAY!! I'm off on a road trip in the wee small hours . . 7 hours driving to do tomorrow - then about the same the next day  Want to wish you all a HAPPY and HEALTHY Christmas and Happy New Year!! Love you girlies!

PS I may need to see some White Christmas pics . . I have never seen that much snow in my entire life! LOL :p

it's going to be 80 degrees today. grr. I'm not in the southern hemisphere, I should be at least having a cold christmas. It's supposed to be this warm for the next week.

Have a wonderful (and safe) drive Donna! Merry Christmas to you friend!

Jen, it's snowing here again. We are so stinking excited. It's only supposed to be a couple of inches but we just love the moisture.

Well, I just fell into a big patch of icy water and got my shoes and pants all wet... Haha. 80 degrees has it's benefits for sure. lol. I think I'm going to order myself some snowboots now.

I can't believe all the snow you guys are getting, Marla! Glad you can use the moisture. Hope you get better, Jen. I'm mostly winning my battle but have been doing too much...I can officially relax after tomorrow at 4pm after a big photo shoot in the freezing cold.

Night night, girls! <3

No snow here, either. No white Christmas for us, but that's ok. I'm so excited for Christmas to finally be here. One last day of work and I'm off until Jan. 3rd!!

I hope we ALL feel healthy for Christmas! I thought I was getting sick yesterday, but if finally passed. I've been waking up around 4:30 every morning this week because I'm so excited for Christmas to finally get here! BUT, I sure am tired. LOL

we're having a tropical Christmas. I've had to stick all my sweaters back into the closet and pull out the summer gear again. Just SO wrong to have to wear tanks and capris and sundresses on Christmas Adam, lol
