Are you a Thread Killer? Let the Game Begin!

I just made a list of the spreads I will need to complete for my 2011 album: two birthday parties, our anniversary, the Christmas tree, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, last week's blizzard, Week 51 & 52, and New Years Eve... That's it. It seems like a long list, but I'm actually pretty much caught up and totally proud of myself.

365... :) I feel like we are having this convo somewhere else. Haha. :) :D

I don't know where to print my book. I usually use Shutterfly, but I'd totally be willing to try somewhere else. I want it to be 12x12... There are just so many choices.

Well, it's over girls. Sounds like everyone had a great day; I know we did. I can't believe it's Monday and I'm not at work! A whole week off! I'm ecstatic! Marla, that's awesome that you're so on top of things! I think I'll stick with my plan of a monthly wrap-up.

Christmas is over, whew. now to somehow take down the tree and reclaim my living room.....

I think Christmas Candy is a suitable breakfast, right?

Just finished taking down our tree. I so love having it up, but I'm glad to have it down now. Just gonna veg today. Since I'm off all week, I'm doing one "deep clean" thing every day. Today, I'm cleaning closets. Tomorrow, I'm cleaning ceiling fans and window blinds (I do this woefully too seldom). That way, I'm not spending all day cleaning, but I get a little done ever y day.

Hey TKGirls! We had a great Christmas, the boys were adorable and had a blast! I'm with you guys, I'm ready to get my lovely Christmas decor down and to relax a bit, scrap a bit (I'm behind on CT stuff) and have a few cleaning projects and to help my 6 yr old read - he just got into chapter books! (the very basic chapter books and he's so excited - but I'm with him every page as he reads).

I also have a few cleaning projects that I want taken care if before starting the new year. Plus I haven't read a book in over a month - which I'm missing!

We had a great Christmas, I'm relieved my homemade gifts got done in time and I'm also relieved to have the holiday pressure gone!

P.S. the boys slept in until 8:30am today - yay!!! They miss our elf, Ted, but are having a ball playing with their new toys!

I think I'm going to leave my tree up for another week. I just don't feel like taking it down right now and I've got some serious cleaning to do other places in the house... Today, I have plans of getting a few things done and staying in my pjs all day long. lol.

With the possiblity of forum closure depending on how the migration goes, I'm officially ending this thread tonight at midnight, my time (central), according to the screen shot of who posted nearest to midnight on the forum. If there is a tie, all of you will get the $5 GC.

Thanks so much for making this an awesome thread to read. I'm also truly humbled so many of you kept this going

We could just agree to take an official break and then start up again when the forums are back up. But then, hmmm...gift certificates are involved? Hmmm...

Personally, I'm not motivated by the gift card at all... I just like talking to my favorite girlies here. I guess we will have to start another thread or move it to Facebook.

I could care less about the giftcard. It was more about just posting and having fun and chatting with each other. It was fun having the challenge of not letting the thread die.

Oh, I do agree with you Marla! I was just kidding. I do think we've all been rather valiant in our attempts to keep the thread alive. :)

EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS!

I'm totally bummed it's getting ended. It really wasn't about the gift certificate for me at all. I liked feeling like I had a thread to come chat with TKG's where I felt at home.... feeling homeless knowing this will end now.... :(

Well, at least we've got Facebook, right??

One more night of chatting here ladies? I sent the husby to town for wine. We've got Hawaiian chicken in the crock pot and I plan on having an enjoyable evening. What are you girls up to?

We just movies 3 & 4 of the HP series, we're trying to finish all of them before New Years. We also decided that as nice as the tree was, it was time to reclaim the living room. We took off all the ornaments and lights today, and tomorrow while Jer is at work I will finish removing the tinsel and pack the tree up. We're contemplating a major living room rearrangement, not sure if we will do it or not since it would mean moving the heaviest piece of furniture we own(seriously, our entertainment center weighs more than our king size 17 inch thick memory foam mattress) and re hanging a massive painting. But, it would mean our living room would be more functional and we could even use our counter as a breakfast bar if we wanted.

I think I just need to play with space plans and maybe move the lighter furniture to see if it would even be functional first. We'd have to get people to help us move the entertainment center if we go that route, so we have to decide by friday or so....

I'm making my husband play dominos with me. I love dominos. He hates them. I did what any logical wife would do- I bought a set for him for Christmas so I could guilt trip him into playing. lol.

hahahha! my favorite dominoes game is mexican train, lol. We haven't played in forever, but we hopefully will on NYE.

My Project Life stuff has shipped, wheeeeee!

We love Mexican Train with Domino's, too!

We just finished watching the first Pirates of the Carribean movie with the boys while starting and finishing a puzzle! It's been fun!

I've played Dominoes with my Grandma a couple times, but haven't played in forever.

The game I love that my hubby hates is 20 questions. I haven't guilted him into playing it in a long time, but I think we're long overdue!

We're watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. Harry Potter movies always make me think of Christmas, for some reason. Maybe because of the first movie and the Christmas gifts Harry gets.

Dude. We watched that movie this afternoon. My hubby hasn't seen them yet, so we are going to hopefully watch all four this weekend. It's about time we got some use out of our netflix subscription.

Funny enough- our DVD player broke this week. We have a big 55 inch tv in our living room, but had to watch the movie on my 13 inch MacBook. :D DVD players are like $30 these days so I think we will be buying two next time we go anywhere.

My DH loves the Pirates of the Caribbean movies!!! We'll probably have to watch those this week too. I love the week between Christmas and New Years!
