wow - shadows, scentsy . . what the!?!? LOL

I thought I did shadows ok until I got online . . now I have a complete complex about it hahaha. I'd like some tips too

Had a completely craptacular shatful day at work today, so I'm gonna hit the sack.

Saw a funny on FB though, which I think I should say to my boss:

"Oh, I offended you with my opinion?? You should hear the ones I keep to myself" lol lol lol :p

Yeah, I have a bit of a shadow complex, myself :( I just always second-guess myself, in all things scrapping, to be honest.

Donna I LOVE that quote!

Gotta go take my little one to the doctor. She's got croup :( This doctor visit is NOT going to be fun, because she HATES going to the doctor. AND I'm probably going to have her get a flu shot today, too, she's going to really hate me today. I think this day is lost...
 
Shadows are still my weakness. I second guess myself constantly. It's a work in progress at all times.

It is soo cold here today. I'm sitting in bed with my laptop to work, because I refuse to turn up the heat even more and our room is the warmest in the house since we have nice thermal curtains in here.
 
Have you guys heard of Scrapper's Guide? I work there and the owner, Linda Sattgast has been in with Adobe since PSE 3.0. She's been deemed as "Adobe's Official Scrapbooking Expert" by Adobe. She has an awesome tutorial on drop shadows right here:

I do happen to know everything will be on sale for DSD coming up very soon. She has video tutorials and she's the best teacher I know in PSE and Photoshop. You can get the tutorial for either program.

Oooh, thanks Andrea! I'm always up for new tutorials, but before I buy anything (I've never bought a tutorial), is it for sure that this will apply to PSE?

So, just got back from the doctor. Maylee did awesome up until the point of looking in her ears. And that only took about a minute (with all the fighting she did LOL), so it was over quickly. She has a double ear infection, a sinus infection, and swollen larynx (Croup). My poor baby. Now the fight is on to get her to take her medicine everyday :(

Oh no, poor Maylee! No wonder she doesn't feel well! I honestly beleive there's nothing worse than sick kids. :(

Awww, thanks everyone! I hope she gets to feeling better pretty quickly. We have our first field trip on Thursday and I'd hate to have to miss that!
 
I'm plugging away. I'd love to be home right now, but not only is it not time to go home, I have to stay late this afternoon for a meeting :(

oh, poor little one :( so horrible when they're sick, and it sounds like she's just miserable . . good luck with the medicine, hope she's feeling better really soon xx
 
Good morning those of you on this side of the world!

Wanna here something funny? I've worked for almost four weeks now and decided that I LOVE dress clothes. I adore my dress pants and find them just as comfortable as pjs. And I really like looking cute everyday. Love it! But that is totally something I never imagine I would enjoy. I expected quite the opposite actually.
 
I'd love to look cute everyday, I'd just not like the effort into being cute.

I woke up this morning and my cat had dragged every towel in the room into a pile next to my side of the bed and had slept there. Apparently she wanted a big fluffy nest of her own, lol. It looks like she tried to get her kitty hut too, but its attached to a corner so she can't knock it over.
 
When I first started working, I looked cute everyday...did my hair and wore makeup.

Now, while I still wear dress clothes everyday, I couldn't care less about hair and makeup LOL. But yes, I find my dress clothes very comfortable. I do wear heels almost everyday, too, and don't have any problems with them.

Jen, that's kinda cute about your cat :) Annoying, but cute.
 
it's rather adorable, lol. At least they are all dirty towels and not clean ones, I'd gathered them up yesterday to do a load of laundry and ran out of time, so they were sitting in a basket in our room.

I actually loved wearing dress pants to work, but I didn't get to wear cute shoes, it was a polo and tennis shoes with the dress pants.

Kate, when do the cards play again??
 
Cards play tonight. I am on frayed nerves about it. The Rangers have one-upped us and now lead the series 3-2. So if we dont' win tonight, they will have won the series.

But the Cards are at home tonight and WILL NOT BE LOSING! Gooooo Cards!

And Jen, I grew up with cats and loved them, and ::never:: had a cat do what yours is doing, that's too funny! My oldest son is allergic to cats, so we have two mini dachshunds now and they are so much fun, I had never had a dog in my life until 1.5 yrs ago and now we have TWO! They are adorable! Here's a picture of them:

Their names are Buster and Lucy. :wub: and they want love ::all:: the time. Now that my youngest is in 1st grade and in full day school, I'm so glad to have the little furballs around to keep me company at home. And I work from home, so I see them a lot. In our family, I think the parents like the dogs almost more than the kids do, lol. We're all crazy about them! :wub:

I'm rearranging my office rather than actually working this morning. It needed to be cleaned, soI am justifying my procrastination that way. After lunch I am going to have to buckle down and actually work though.
 
I've been working my patootie off all morning. I'm looking forward to lunch. Gonna try to play my Words with Friends games. I have like 15 to play...

Good luck catching up on Words with Friends, Kate. I tried that game and would be all proud of myself coming up with words that would have 6 or 7 letters and then I would get killed ::everytime:: - apparently I don't have the the right skills to place the words in the high point value squares... so I quit. I don't think I've ever won even ONE game of Words with Friends, lol. You know when you've been licked, lol. It's no biggie, I'm over it, haha!
 
I love Words with Friends! I will take forever to make a play, because I just refuse to play a word that's not on the right squares. If I have a tile that's over a certain value, I refuse to play it if it's not in double or triple word, or falling on a double or triple spot.
