What's your weird food thing?

I'm writing this as I sit here eating a ham sandwich with my chips IN my sandwich. I've done it since I was a kid..weird I know.

I also will eat saltines with just mayonnaise on them - but it has to be blue plate mayo..I won't eat any other kind.

And I like to heat my m&m's in the microwave. Just enough so that they're melted on the inside...too long and they explode :p

I put chips on burgers like that, but only cape cod chips. Well I suppose any kettle cooked chip would do, those are just hte only ones I buy :p

Lipton chicken noodle soup + pizza sauce + some mozz cheese = deliciousness. I had it just last night :)

I eat my chocolate frozen. Dark chocolate preferably. I stick any kind of chocolate in the freezer. :)

I do the soup with mozarella.. but pizza sauce? that is different. LOL!

I eat frozen waffles.. like.. straight from the freezer. so does ce.
I put mustard on pasta.
that's all you get for now.

I like dipping green apple slices into peanut butter and then dipping the peanut butter slice into Rice Krispies!!

I like dill pickle slices on a piece of cheddar for a snack.

Im not sure I have any weird food stuff...I love fried egg sandwiches with miracle whip. Cant stand mayo of any kind. Ohhh I know seasoned fries from Denny's dipped in ranch dressing

I use to put chips on PB & J sandwiches when I was little...

I like Bologna sandwiches with mustard and butter. Dh has a dish he makes with tuna, saltines, onions and then he bakes it. I have never dared to try it.

Oh I have LOTS of weird food quirks, lol...just ask my hubby. He was making fun of me the other day when I was eating pizza:

I order ham & cheese pizza only...the ham has to be a thin layer and it has to be crispy...if there's more than one layer or it's not crispy, I will peel it off. There has to be JUST the right amount of pizza sauce, if it's squishing up out of the cheese, I will peel the cheese back and wipe some of the sauce off before continuing to eat it.

I inspect EVERY bite of anything I put in my mouth. I know it's weird, it's a habit from the days when my mom would cook with onions and I *hate* onions, so I'd pick them out. So I still look at my food before I put it in my mouth.

Hmmm...let's see...what else. Pretty much any meat needs to be plain and VERY well done. I don't care if it's dry, it HAS to be well done, almost burned.

oh man i'm gagging already....

I do like cool ranch doritos in my turkey sandwich though lol yummmm

and I'm with ya on the blue plate Nikki..i HATE HATE HATE helmans..I don't really even like mayo but when I DO use it (tuna,e tc) i use blue plate

ohhh i forgot.

i don't eat them much but.. peanut butter and bacon sandwiches  sometimes.. even dipped in ketchup.. haha lol sounds horrid i know. I haven't done it with ketchup in years, not sure if i would still like it.

lol...these are all so funny...we're so weird lol

I tease DH when he eats sandwiches...it has to be just a piece of ham or turkey on 2 plain slices of bread with no mayo or mustard or anything else. First he eats the crust off all the way around until he's left with a circle sandwich...then he smooshes it flat and eats the rest...it cracks me up every time I see him do it b/c with any other kind of food he eats it perfectly normal...but give him a sandwich and he goes all ocd on me lol!

haha I had a friend who would eat her ham sandwiches and they had to be smooshed.. also had a friend who would eat a filet o' fish from mcdonalds and like first eat the bun, then the breading of the fish. then the fish. LOL!

ohhh i forgot.

i don't eat them much but.. peanut butter and bacon sandwiches  sometimes.. even dipped in ketchup.. haha lol sounds horrid i know. I haven't done it with ketchup in years, not sure if i would still like it.

OMG I KNEW I LOVED YOU FOR A REASON!!! (minus the ketchup part)

I LOVE peanut butter and bacon sandwiches!! Everyone thinks I'm insane, but it's a thing from my childhood. My bro and sis love them too!

We don't have blue plate mayo here...Best Foods is the brand on the West Coast...which is Hellman's.

I wouldn't put mayo on anything but a tuna sandwich though.

I'm a pretty basic eater. The only weird things I've done is mix applesauce with my scrambled eggs. (this was when I was young and I wanted to cool down the eggs I guess)

The other is ketchup on mac and cheese and tuna casserole. That might not be too weird though...but I don't eat either of those very often. Once every few years!!!

I think I've posted about this before but I mix my peanut butter and jelly before I put it on my sandwich. I never knew it was weird until everyone told me it was lol...I grew up doing it that way so it was just normal to me lol...DH did too though so it looks like we were always meant to be lol

I cannot eat any meat on a bone- a leftover from my days of being a vegetarian, I guess... just way too close to the source if it still has a bone in it, and it feels far too carnivorous to have to hack away at it to get the meat off. Just typing about it makes me throw up a little bit in my mouth... gag. I also really don't like to touch raw meat, and generally make hubs do it.

I haven't done this since I was little, but I used to eat toast with butter and the bologna and pickles on it. I can't remember the last time I had one. And I've done the chips in sandwich thing :)

I love bacon & grape jelly sandwiches on toast - yum! DH used to gag every time I ate one, but then he secretly tried one and just recently admitted that they were pretty good.

I also love really good extra sharp cheddar cheese with a dab of grape jelly on it. Not a lot - just to give it a tiny bit of sweetness.

When I was younger, I always mixed cottage cheese and pork 'n beans together and could eat a whole bowl of it. Just thinking about it now makes me shudder.

I also can't eat popcorn unless I have some chocolate to go with it - I don't mix it in or anything, but I love to take a bite of a Hershey bar after I take a bite of popcorn.

And I can't eat chili unless I have 1/2 a peanut butter sandwich to go with it.

hmmmm, Miracle Whip on grilled cheese sandwiches, chips (only Doritos) on ham sandwiches. yeah, my food loves are usually basic. lol... I'll have to think on it some more. :)

Hmm, let's see I have a few.

Onion sandwich, just bread, mayo, onions (red only) salt and pepper. My mom made these all the time. I also like avacodo sandwiches, I mash up the avacado, add chopped onion and spread it on a slice of buttered bread, salt and pepper, again my mom caused this. LOL. I also like a slice of bread with butter, mayo and a slice of swiss cheese and I dip my chips in plain old sour cream.

Oh gosh my mom and I are bizarre eaters...seriously wait to hear these...
-pickle sandwiches...just dill pickles and mayo on bread
-marshmellows with mustard
-peanut butter, bologna, & mayo sandwiches
-we do the chips on sandwiches thing too.
-pizza dipped in ranch or ketchup
I will eat hot sauce on pretty much anything...literally anything.

I know theres more, it's hard thinking on the spot.

My first wierd food thing...I eat in groups. So lets just say you have a bag of those little pink and white animal cookies. I eat the same ammount of pink as white. And M&M's...I eat all one color...then the next...

yes, I am a bit off.

I love love love peanut butter and pickle sandwiches!!!! OMG so good.

I also eat tabasco on just about everything.

Ketchup on a baked potato.

uuuummmmm......there is probably more.

Ranch on pizza.

Hmmmm....interesting, lol.

*Ketchup on scrambled eggs
*Chips on sandwiches
*Apples and PB

I'm sure there's more...

Oh! This is most important--my food can't touch. Like the salad can't touch the meat, can't touch the whatever...kwim? YUCK!

ohhh i forgot.

i don't eat them much but.. peanut butter and bacon sandwiches  sometimes.. even dipped in ketchup.. haha lol sounds horrid i know. I haven't done it with ketchup in years, not sure if i would still like it.

man, we are so alike on this! hehehe I *love* PB & Bacon!!!

My weird food quirks ...

I don't eat butter/margarine, mayo, cheese ... or most dairy products.
So just imagine what eating a potatoe would be like for me ... very dry. lmao So ... I use Catalina salad dressing on my potatoes (baked and mashed - I take my serving out before adding butter/milk/cheese for the family). I also use Catalina on perogies (I only eat potatoe & bacon perogies).
Um, I'll have to ask Des what else I do weird ... since I think I'm normal, you all are weird. hehehee

I'm pretty picky, so I don't really eat lots of weird things combined. I'm trying to think of some. I honestly can't think of any. I'm so unadventurous when it comes to food.

I just have a very strong gag reflex when it comes to bread/bread-like substances becoming wet, so my bread (which Jeff and Tyler won't eat) has to be whole wheat and refrigerated, so it's cold and hard enough to eat with a sandwich. I also can't eat those casseroles with a bunch of ingredients + bread topping or homemade stuffing = mushy wet bread that makes me gag if I try to eat it.

This has been made worse, btw, with my pg. I have to cut the crusts off my breakfast PBJs now because the crust takes too long to chew which means I produce extra saliva... which means it becomes that disgusting wet mushy texture. *shudder* I have to take really small bites of my crackers, too, for the same reason.

I like Ketchup on Fried Chicken and on turkey at Thanksgiving. I also like ketchup on my steak and eggs too. DH makes fun of me.

you peanut butter/bacon people.. there is something wrong with all of you. :p

Um... ketchup on mac & cheese... i only eat certain colors of things.. like starburst I only eat the red and pink ones... either someone else eats the yellow and orange or I throw them away. I'm sure I'll think of more.

Oh, girl! I am so there with you on the gag reflex while being pregnant. With both my kids, I knew I was pg before even taking the test because just the SMELL of Pickles and/or Mustard would send me running for the toilet! And what are dh's two favorite things to eat on a burger (or anything, really) - you guessed it! Pickles and Mustard! UGH! I don't like either of those, but it was just intensified when I was pg.

Oh, and while I'm at it...you Peanut Butter/Bacon people make me want to throw up a little in my mouth :p That's just wierd! (I say that with much love and affeciton, though )
