What's your weird food thing?

Once when I was pregnant, I put peanut butter on a fish taco. And it was pretty tasty. It makes me gag at the thought now. But right then, in that moment, it was amazing. LOL

I cannot eat any meat on a bone- a leftover from my days of being a vegetarian, I guess... just way too close to the source if it still has a bone in it, and it feels far too carnivorous to have to hack away at it to get the meat off. Just typing about it makes me throw up a little bit in my mouth... gag. I also really don't like to touch raw meat, and generally make hubs do it.

OMG, this is me too. Anything remotely animal-like makes me gag. If there's any kind of skin or cartilege or anything even remotely non-meat-like, I just can't do it. Nope.

I can go weeks without meat. I really don't care much about it.

I have lots of food quirks....too many to name.....but right now, I am eating

plain bagel toasted w/ cream cheese, avocado, tomato & a sprinkle of Jane's Crazy Mixed Up Salt.

That sounds really good! I don't know what jane's mixed up salt is though

popcorn on hot dogs. I actually cannot eat a hot dog without popcorn, though I can eat popcorn without the hot dog.

Not just peanut butter & bacon, but peanut butter, bacon and a banana. On a toasted hot dog bun.

Hmmm...let's see...what else. Pretty much any meat needs to be plain and VERY well done. I don't care if it's dry, it HAS to be well done, almost burned.

That's ME!!! I'd rather have a piece of jerky on my plate than even a bit of pink. DH tells waiters to make a hockey puck out of any beef I order LOL.

Other than that...I like apples with peanut butter smeared on them...quarter the apples, core then, then spread the PB on...got that from my mom.

I'm the picky one...I hate cheese, coffee, ranch dressing, fish, and haven't eaten a hot dog since I watched a film in school showing how they were made LOL.

i honestly don't think i have any.

i do love the chips on my sandwich thing. doritos on a ham sandwich. YUMMO. or cool ranch doritos.

what is up with all you PB and weird things mixed together on sandwiches people. even if it is good, what makes you think to put them together?

is this normal or weird. tell me.

dijon mustard on my chili dogs. YUUUUM!!

and yes...amy...ranch makes everything better. i put it in my quesadillas sometimes mixed with salsa!! OH MY GOSH. yummm.

I like eating my KFC chicken straight from the fridge...it's SO yummy cold! Also I love eating rice with a sauce made up of a raw egg and brown sugar. Sounds gross, but once the stuff is whipped up and warmed up from the rice, it's just like a butterscotch sauce. I've had it since I was a kid and I have NEVER gotten sick from it.

Not really wierd but yummy:
Cottage cheese with peach slices and french dressing on top

I'm just wierd in the fact that I eat one thing at a time. I eat my salad, my veggies, my bread, my meat. I do not alternate and I don't drink during the meal. Only before and after. I don't realize I'm doing it, but DH likes to tease me!

Where is a gagging or throwing up smiley when I need one?? LOL I am seriously grossed out just reading this thread! I guess I don't have any weird food quirks.

I like my cookies and twinkies frozen :)!

ETA: FYI, I only eat 100 calorie packs of the above these days...YEAH ME!!!

lol Mcdonalds fries dipped in Mcdonalds ice cream that one started as a pregnancy craving and stayed Lukas likes it too, um favourite sandwich right now is cheese and paste, don't eat any kind of sauce except apple, gravy and a bright red one from the chinese takeaway, prefer almost all food cold including jacket potatoes with nothing added to them, chocolate cake and cream are best straight from the freezer, toast can only be toasted until its warm bread if it's even slightly brown I won't eat it, I don't eat fish of any description, normally I won't touch or even look at raw meat baby seems to like the look of it though I was actually dreaming about a steak the other night which is insane for me lol, I can't think right now but there are loads of others.

I wish that I hadn't just had that sandwich before I read this lol. I am not weird though I don't think. Hubby teases me cause I like ranch with a lot of stuff. Always have to have it with fries cuz I don't like ketchup. There are a couple of restaurants that I really like their honey mustard and will dip fries in that. I like ranch dressing powder on popcorn or parmasean cheese.

one more kinda weird thing...I love wheat bagels toasted with butter, cream cheese and honey. I am craving one now just thinking about it

My weirdest is probably pickle sandwichs. I take a hot dog bun, put miracle whip on it and then a Polish dill pickle. Yum. Haven't had it in a long time though. lol

me, too! I hate ketchup so I dip fries in ranch, honey mustard or BBQ sauce.

Uhh... pickles with american cheese, peanut butter on popcorn, uh... hmm... I guess that's it.

how do you get peanut butter on popcorn? Wouldn't it smush the popcorn or do you melt the peanut butter and drizzle it? I'm envisioning you standing off to the side at the movie theatre, asking for an extra bag...and getting peanut butter on a knife and "peanutbuttering" your popcorn and tossing in the other bag. ROTFL ok...obviously you need to ed-u-kate me! :p

you peanut butter/bacon people.. there is something wrong with all of you. :p

Um... ketchup on mac & cheese... i only eat certain colors of things.. like starburst I only eat the red and pink ones... either someone else eats the yellow and orange or I throw them away. I'm sure I'll think of more.

I had not EVER heard of peanut butter and bacon sandwiches before tonight! This seriously sounds like a thread of "what are your pg cravings". LOL

These are so funny. I like ranch dressing with chicken, actually. I eat a lot of string cheese oh and mayo with frenchfries... love that! I mix strawberry jam into my cottage cheese. When I was little my grandpa used to make me butter and brown sugar sandwiches! Yum! I havent had one in years. I eat salami with a piece of cheese rolled in. I eat avacados like crazy, with a little salt. Oh and my grandparents also used to feed me tomatos sprinkled with sugar. LOL. my kids love cheese hotdog chunks mixed in their mac and cheese, but that makes me vomit when I think of eating it because one time I ate some, and came down with the flu an hour later and puked it all up. That memory has stayed with me. That's all I can think of right now.:p

Love fried hotdogs...they are like fried bologna!! Here is how I do it...put a little butter in a frying pan, slice the hotdogs up, fry them til they are brown and crispy. I eat mine with mustard and ketchup mixed together.
How do you FRY a HOTDOG?! You don't mean a corn dog do you?

I don't think I really have any...my friends say me eating turkey or ham sandwiches with cheese and no sauce on white bread is strange...but I just don't care for mayo, miracle whip, or other sauce on those...I'll eat it with BBQ sauce. I would think the strangest (at least dh thinks so) is tomato soup with noodles in it and a grilled cheese sandwich.

However...dh has no room to talk...because he taught our youngest son to eat this:

Boil spaghetti noodles. Drain. Throw in a skillet with eggs and scramble. Plop on a plate and mix in ketchup. ewwwwwwwwwwww

...and back when Heinz had different colored ketchups...he just had to try this dish with every single color of ketchup! ewwwwwww

I haven't fixed fried bologna in years and years! I bet my kids don't even remember eating it. Will have to try the fried hot dogs with the kids...see what they think!

Have you ever had Barbecued octopus?

never tried that...my husband has tried to get me to eat octupus before and I have had just about every kind of seafood there is I couldnt bring myself to eat octupus (or squid).

Hee hee it's not actually octopus...it's a dish my mom named when we were kids... you take a hot dog and make 2 lengthwise cuts towards the middle of the hot dog on each end...(4 legs on each side)...

...place the cut hot dogs in a skillet with bbq sauce and simmer until the "octopus legs" curl...looking like an octopus...

she always served it on top of Kraft mac & cheese!

ohhhhhhhhh could this be considered a weird food thing?

Hahahahah!!! I made one of these a couple of summers ago when I was at a bonfire, and my dad thought it was the coolest thing EVER! He was all dejected that I learned it off the internet, so he made me PROMISE that I wouldn't show any of my neices or nephews (his grandkids) because he wanted to show them how to do it, lol! It's a total running joke between us now. Whenever I show him something new or neat, he's like "Where'd you learn that?" and I say "Off the IN-TER-NET, of course!!", hahaha. Hmmm, maybe its only funny to me and him, lol!

Oh, and when I'm at McDonald's, I dip my french fries in sweet n sour sauce, never ketchup! DH thinks I'm weird, but its SO good!!
