I want to read the bible this year, but I don't own one and there are SO MANY out there that I don't know which one to get.
I'm reading Julie and Julia right now (may actually finish it at some point).
Colleen, I second the NIV.
This is one instance where the movie is SOOOOOO much better than the book, especially if you skip the Julie parts LOLOL
I also just started P.S. I Love You by Cecilia Ahern...I don't know anything about it, was just browsing the shelves at the library and it looked interesting
I also agree that NIV is a great version for easier reading. I am a NKJV person myself, no idea why, but it's just the best fit for me.
Wanted to also recommend a study bible. I have a Women's study bible and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, the additional information is amazing and the side notes really help me to fully understand what I'm reading! I'll look up at the publisher and version if you want!
This is a great book!! (and yet another that is way better than the movie - I didn't even finish watching the end of the movie for this yet I couldn't put the book down)
Right now, I started the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich because I wanted something light. It is just sooo funny!
The Book Thief (LOVE IT)
Poisionwood Bible - (eh.... Just started ...praying it gets better)
I'm 'listening' to Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver (it's what I do when I work in the mornings and everyone's still asleep)
I'm reading a few gardening books and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer
Still trying to finish up #3 in Percy Jackson series as a preead for Connor..I'm giving up, though, and letting him just read it. I hate Greek mythology![]()
Uggh! I really didn't like Prodigal Summer. There was just so much sex! I was really disappointed because I loved the Poisonwood Bible. It's made me hesitant to try her other books, although I do want to read Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.
