I just realized that the Super Bowl is this Sunday. (It is, right?) I think my husband will have a way to watch it. We don't have cable/satellite but we do have old fashioned rabbit ears if it's broadcast on a local station and we have Amazon Prime that we can access with the TV. (I think I saw that one of the ways it's being streamed is with Amazon Prime.)
Now I need to figure out some game day foods and snacks before I go grocery shopping. Do you have some tried and true favorites? Since it's just the three of us to eat it, I don't need a huge amount of party foods but I do want to give him a touch of the party atmosphere. lol I'm thinking brats with sauerkraut, a cheesy/meaty dip (velveeta, rotel, ground beef) and sausage balls. That's all a bunch of meaty stuff. lol And I'm laser focused on what I eat these days so I probably won't want any of it.
If I do the brats, then I don't need to do the 'lil smokies in BBQ sauce. And don't need to do sandwich sliders. Sigh. It's not like I've got a crowd coming over.
So, what do YOU make for the super bowl or such occasions?
