Haha - I muster up confidence by seeing how far I've come! LOL. La's kits have certainly improved but we all have to start somewhere! I LOVE her stuff now and I think that's widely known!! (Not that I wouldn't have loved La back then...I just didn't know her!)

So, I'm not a designer... because I made one kit, and it was so hard! What designers do is not easy at all! It burned me out, really! I made this back in May 2005... I distressed the metal, scanned it in. I drew everything myself initially with pastels, or used free brushes to create my own textures. I drew the flower myself. I also scanned the ribbons and bows in myself, and extracted them.

I do sometimes wonder, "What if I had stuck with it..." especially after seeing some of the early kits of designers who are now awesome!

Oh, and here is a LO I did using some of the stuff from my kit... back when I started scrapping again last year, before I had built my stash up- the top paper, metal overlay, flower and brads are from my kit, the rest is Michelle Underwood's. :)

I first started selling at Do It Digi, then I quickly started The Daily Scrap and ducked out as soon as I could when I realized what a crook my partner was. After that, I started ScrapMommies and kept that open from July 2005 to July 06 when it kept getting hacked and I couldn't take it anymore. After that I sold at ACOT and NDISB for a month or 2, SBG for 8 months and now I'm here and I'll never leave! LOL
 
the first one is sweet aria (I think lol) #2 and last one are it's all about you, #3 is let it snow (hahaha), and the brown/red is absolutely :D I use to love that absolutely kit.. now it scares me :D :D :D

hehe I'm loving seeing the old layouts LOL.. I have a slideshow from my first CT forever ago, Lisa (who is still with me :wub: ) angela powers (2 sisters), jen strange, susan godfrey.. I think that was it :D

Thanks! It actually is one of my favorites still...It keeps coming back each year, reworked a bit! :)

I started at Digital Scrap Gal was there two weeks and then joined PDW. I left once I thought Holly was about to move on, joined SBE, joined TDS, left SBE, left TDS right before the surprise shut down, and now I am home to STAY! :thumbup:

LOL!!! Lauren, that Absolutely kit was one of my faves of yours for so long. I still love the layout I made with it... surprisingly, since its about 2 years old now!!! :)

Well before I chicken out...heres some of my early stuff. The layout was my first ever digi layout and the first time I designed anything. I remember being really proud of myself...now I look at it and think how crap it looks lol! Can you tell I was a paper scrapper...with my digital vellum paper and my dodgy looking metal elements...niiiiiiccccce!

Anyhoo that kit got me a gig at an Aussie Paper scrap store called Scrapboxx for a few months and then I moved to TDC and then here. And like the other girls...this is where I'm staying :D It doesn't get any better than here!

Man I'm just looking my layout and kit again...they are sooooooo funny...I can't believe I ever thought they looked good...thank goodness I've moved on :D
