These are my first two kits-- and why it's SO important that I'm inspired by hotties now :hehe:

These were made in 2005... before I learned that we didn't need 50 different colour plastic photo prongs.. and you know, how to make a proper preview :D :D

LOL I hear ya on the 50 plasticy element Lauren! haha my early kits had like 10 brads LOL! OK I don't have my first kit previews they have LOOONG gone the way of the recycle bin! haha! BUT here are a few layouts using my first kits:

ok.... because lauren made me, my first product ever were stamps (that i misspelled as "stapms" on my preview) - dani put it in her store for me for a month and it was SO exciting! This was before my tablet days, and I drew with sharpie and extracted!

after that i did loads of free "stapms" on my blog, and some papers next...

but here is my first paper pack for sale:

my first full kit was Techno Grunge, and I KNOW it needs to be retired, but I have attachment issues (i'm still crying over the kits ssd designers have retired in the past :) )

This IS a fun thread! Shawna, I love that paper pack; the patterns and colors are great. I downloaded some "Stapms" from your blog back before your grand debute as a designer; i still like them, too.

I'm interested to know where you girls first sold your goodies; it's been so long I can't remember where anyone was except the original 4.
 
Lauren - I am pretty sure I have layouts with both kits LOL. I have Traci's earlier ScrapMommy kits on a disc and Shawna ... I downloaded those "stapms" from your blog
 
I can show you some kits of Kristin's from early 2006. lol She never scraps with her own designs, but I have them!!!
 
This thread is so fab, keep them coming! Shawna, I have techno grunge and love it - dont´retire it!!
 
I have that Parcheesi paper pack and some of your original "stapms" Shawna :D But PLEASE don't retire Techno Grunge! I have it and LOVE it! :wub: I still pull the alpha from it from time to time.
 
I think these are awesome first kits and paper packs. Wouldn't it be fun to bring them back in totally new kits??

These are GREAT! It's awesome to see how you guys all started!

Shawna, Techno Grunge was one of the first kits I bought from SSD, and it's still one of my all-time faves! Please don't even THINK of retiring it! LOL!
 
I know I have a few from Tra's days at SM! I remember too well the crazy chats they had too. Dang, things have changed alot in digi-land since then. Thanks for sharing y'all!

These are all better than anything I could do, but I love how things just get better all the time!
 
I don't have those 2 particular kits but I do have a bunch of Lauren's early kits from her ES days! I also have a bunch of Amanda Rockwell's from back then too! And I think I have all of Shawna's "Stapms" sets and I have that Timeless kit by Dani too! I have lots of little treasures on my EHD lol!

I had to go WAY back to find these, but they were some of the very first layouts I did and they used Lauren's Hibiscus kit! Obviously I loved it so much I did 3 layouts with it!
