So Bree got me thinking.... dangerous i know ;)

I remember reading Nancy Drew series, Trixie Belden series, Cherry Ames series, Judy Blume, Beverly Cleary, Wizard of Oz series. Oh yes, loved Encyclopedia Brown too; I still remember some of the stories.

Oh oh oh!! I loved Cherry Ames. :)

Anyone read the Secret of the Unicorn Queen books? OMG, I loved them!!

I guess there were only 6 of them written from the website I found says. I know I only read 4. I would totally go back and read these again if I could find them all. I remember wishing I could be swept away by a time machine to a time of unicorns! These are definately on my list to get for the girls. I hope they like to read as much as me!!

Oh I could make a LONG LONG list here...

Ramona books by Beverly Cleary
Judy Blume (we must, we must, we must increase our bust...)
Miss Nelson is Missing
The Mouse & the Motorcycle
The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler
Sunfire romances (still have all of them boxed up somewhere)
Nancy Drew mysteries
Emily's Runaway Imagination (loved this...still have a copy to read to Rachel)
Encyclopedia Brown
Voyage to the Mushroom Planet
Frog & Toad
Ferdinand

I could add ALOT more...and thankfully I have alot of these books, either from hoarding LOL, Ebay, or garage sales. I can't wait to share them with Rachel.

I've read voraciously since first grade (back in the prehistoric days of 1960). I learned to read with Dick and Jane, lol. I read the Bobbsy Twins (don't recall plots, lol). I had absolutely gorgeous fairy tale books. I read Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book in second grade. But I was so into horses (and dinosaurs); I read a lot of Marguite Henry's books like Misty of Chincoteague, Born to Trot, etc. There were a few Walter Farley's like The Black Stallion and The Red Stallion. But if a book was in the shelves at home (my parents always had lots of books. My mother had been an english major and had LOTS of great literature), I read it (they approved it of course).
I still love reading about as much as anything I can do.

I loved the Babysitters Club, Sweet Valley books, Charlotte's Web, Ramona...

My all time favorites were Anne of Green Gables. I still read them. At least once a year. LOVE them! I own the movie too... watch that every year after I finish the book series, lol!
