Jayden woke up this morning with dried blood on his pillow & lots in his ear. Were heading to take him to the dr's now, and the crazy woman I am has me always thinking of the worst. Wish us luck!

OMGoodness!! I hope all is ok. My son has a really dry nose and gets nosebleeds at night.

Oh NO! i hope everything is ok.

I remember being a kid and getting lots of nose bleeds.

Now as an adult I still get it sometimes. But the doctor told me to put humidifier and use saline sprays and it works.

Oh I hope he's ok! Benjamin used to get loads of nosebleeds, and he wouldn't wake, it would run into his ear, and it was scary. I hope it's nothing serious, keep us posted!

That's a scary thing to wake up to! Try and think positive. There's lots of things it can be that are no big deal, and I'll be sending my good vibes your way that it's one of those things!

Hey girls :) thanks for all the prayers & PT it turns out he had somehow cut just in his ear  LOL so all is good! I am very much relieved!

Oh, and now that we know all is well, I'll share a humourous ear story with you.

I had to take my 7 year old nephew to Children's Hospital the week before last for a day surgery with his E,N & T specialist. For what you ask? Why, to get the rock he had stuck in his ear surgically removed of course! :D

Yep. Rock. Jammed right up against his eardrum.

He kept fussing with his ear, and when asked about it, would say he had a rock in his ear. Don't be silly! we'd say. You don't have a rock in your ear!

Two doctors who were no help later... "um, well it does look like a rock, but it seems to be attached, so it must be a polyp..." his useless pediatrician finally gets the referral through to my nephew's ear, nose and throat specialist, who quickly ascertained that, yep, there indeed was a rock in Cormick's ear. :D Thank goodness for Dr. Moxham, who did surgery on Cormick when he was 5 months old and absolutely loves him. All the other doctors were beyond useless.

So, the rock was too jammed in there and extremely painful when he made any attempt to remove it, so there was nothing else to do but put the lad under and pull that sucker outta there while he was out.

Yes, I am definitely going to be scrapping this one! I have all the pics for it, except one of the rock. We have the rock, lol. Dr. Moxham made sure he kept it for us, lol.

Poor little thing- and poor mama! I'm glad he's alright. I know that would have scared me to death!

Oh wow... that is awful! Poor guy! One time I had to go to the ER and behind the curtain next to me was a kid with a micomachine car in his ear  They were going to have to do surgery for it. Can you imagine, a kid with a toy CAR in their ear?!

Katrina, so glad your little guy is fine :)
