And if you dont pray any positive thoughts are so appreciated!!

As some of you know my daughter has Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was diagnosed at two years old. They put her naproxen and it didn't do anything so they stepped up to methrotrexate. When that didn't do as much they put her on prednisone as well. Finally they put her on Enbrel as well. Don't get me wrong I try to put faith in her doctors but I always felt like this was WAY to much medication. I did some research and found that these meds could do serious damage to some of her internal organs. She is now six years old and I am afraid we got some bad news at her last appointment. They send her in for regular blood testing and such and they are concerned she may have liver damage as a result of the methrotrexate. We find out June 5th either way and as the appointment approaches I am sick to my stomach!! I am so scared. Please just keep her in your thoughts. I am a firm believer that prayer works and I am trying to keep faith that we will get good news. This poor kid has been through so much in the four short years she has had to live with this awful condition. They did pull her off her meds until we know more and now shes flaring and having an extremely difficult time getting around. I am just desperate.

Awww my heart is just hurting for you all!! It's so sad when anyone suffers from debilitating diseases but it's just so much worse when it's a sweet innocent child!! All my positive thoughts and prayers are coming your way!! Please keep us posted!!!
 
I am sorry you are having to go through this. My best friend has rheumatiod arthritis and it is just awful. Is there anyway they can just give her the prednisone to relieve her pain and swelling? I cannot imagine her not being able to take something for the pain.

I will keep you and your famiy in my thoughts.

Oh wow...(((hugs))) to you and your daughter!! Methotrexate is NASTY stuff, Mason was on it for 2.5 years as part of his chemo. I don't have any advice or anything, but I'm definitely thinking of you guys!
 
Oh Sarah, I'm so incredibly sorry. I can only imagine how difficult that must be for you to have to watch your baby in pain. Poor girl! I hope her doctors are able to find something to help keep her out of pain and something that won't hurt her other systems. (((hugs)))
 
Honestly, anything that is "manufactured" can not be good for anyone. I hate taking any type of medication, but sometimes you just have no choice.

If you are interested, let me know, My husbands aunt is a distributor and they sware by it. We don't use it, as we really don't have any major health problems, as of yet, but it doesn't hurt to try it, as it is all natural!!

oh Sarah, I'm so sorry. ((hugs)) I hope the doctors find a way to deal with her condition in a safe way. She must be a real trooper to be dealing with this. I will certainly pray for her and for the wisdom of the doctors. ((hug))
 
Iam so sorry Sarah. I am so sorry that your daughter is having to suffer in this way. I will be praying for her and your whole family.
 
Many positive thoughts coming your daughter's way! I really hope that you get good news on the 5th. It's just heartbreaking.
 
Oh bless your heart Sarah!! I am so very sorry!!! I will keep you all in my prayers! I can imagine what you must be going through. I'm praying for good things for her!!
