Hi Ladies!! You all are so helpful and supportive, I thought maybe you might be able to answer my question.
I'm going to visit Salt Lake City with my son this summer (we are going to take a train ride! choo-choo!). I'm researching our trip (which is so much fun!) I've been looking up things to do and it looks like we will have lots of fun things to keep us busy!!
Although we are not LDS ourselves, I would like to take him to the important historical sites that are available to the public. I'm wondering if you could recommend any reading that would be great for kids to learn about LDS pioneers and history? I would particularly like to use it as a spring board to discuss Freedom of Religion. My son is only 7, so a picture book meant for younger kids I think would be great. But it would also be cool if there were any easy-ish chapter books I could use as a read aloud.
Any suggestions for reading? Any favorite spots to visit in Salt Lake?
Thanks!!! :hugs:
