I'm not usually one to post private details, but I'm feeling a little blue and overwhelmed and you girls are my friends so I feel like I can just vent and worry out loud and you'll understand. 
So DH is gone on another trip (again, still, always, LOL) and just like his other recent trips it seems that everything that could go wrong, is. DD is sick again, I've been assaulted by all manner of creepy crawlies (ick!), yadda yadda. (love the drama there? lol).
But most importantly, before he left, his dad was admitted to the hospital for surgery to remove some growths. Last we heard before DH left everything had gone smoothly and FIL was on the road to recovery. Then, not 24 hours after DH left, I got word that FIL's condition had deteriorated and there have been complications. The details are a little complicated, but let's just say that his deterioration is in large part triggered by the affects of some poor lifestyle choices. Now he's in critical condition in the ICU and on a ventilator.
DH just lost his mom last summer due to complications from surgery to treat lung cancer (yes, because of smoking). My heart just aches for him at the thought that he may lose his dad too and both essentially due struggles with addiction. I've been in contact with DH's command so if things look really dire they will bring him home. But I'm praying and hoping hard that things improve so he won't have to face this loss anytime soon. I just can't stop worrying about this, it's practically all I can think about, kwim?
