I need some scrappin' motivation!!

I'm not on any CT's...so if you know of anyone that's lookin'! :thumbup:
 
Check the CT Call forum over at DST.

And usually every so often there's a looking for CT's type thread in the chatter forum at DST too. That's how I got some guest gigs, just by posting in there.

I've been keeping my eyes open over there...there's sooo many designers now that I don't even recognize.
 
Well it never hurts to ask a designer if they'll be having a call soon. Just send a PM. Designers are friendly creatures, I promise :p
 
All I can say is just continue scrapping and building up your gallery, then watch for calls from your favorite designers. Don't go applying for just any designers, especially if they're not really your style, just to get on a team - that makes it no fun for you as a scrapper and makes it just that much harder.

And watch for CT calls here at SSD, too...every once in a while you'll see a few calls pop up... :)
 
Yea definitely make sure you like the designer and their products. It's not fun at all to HAVE to work wtih a product because of CT obligations. Great point ladies.
 
That is some great advice! I soo know all about that one! LOL!! Being quick to jump on something may not always be the best thing. I hope to build my gallery up and learn and grow more and one day be on some fab teams. I love the ladies here!!
 
i was on one over the summer at DID. LOVED it! then had to resign because we shut off our 'net for a few months. now i'd LOVE to be on one again too. i've been looking, but so far i see none that really sparks my interest. i'm kinda picky i guess? hey, i know what i like! but then again, i'm totally addicted to all you designers here! (hint hint)lol.

definitly! plus, my big dream is to be on Shabby Princess's CT. i LOVE her kits! or Shabby Miss Jenn!! i love the vintage look. that explains why i'm crazy about Rachel Ashwell's Simply Shabby Chic line at Target, too lol.
 
Definitely wait until you find someone whose designs you love or at least make sure you look at their products thoroughly before you apply. I've been a little to quick before and I agree, it's not fun to work with products that aren't your style. Although I will say it does stretch you alot!!! Anyway, I'm loving my CTs and I'm just content to sit tight until some SS Designers have some more calls !!! Come on, ladies! Don't you need some more help :)
 
That's what I mean about there being tons of designers that I don't recognize over at DST. Some of their stuff is WOW, but you want to be sure, right?

I've got folders and folders full of SSD stuff...so if anyone here (hint, hint) is looking to add just one more ;) I would be more than honored!!!

I'm pretty full CT-wise for now. 3 full time and 1 guest is just close enough to being too much, lol. So hopefully she doesn't have a call soon, lol.

I totally agree! I love the vintage look too! That is why I love the collab with Dani and Shabby Miss Jean! Awesome stuff!

Bree is SO much fun to work with. I'd love to get back on her team (I was a December Guest) full time. :)

We're definitely going to battle over KCB though, lol.

hehehe I got lucky, I've been on Kristin's pretty much since the day we "met" two years ago (even more fun since we are "neighbors") ... and I've been a fan of Bree's since I started too .... so I get the best of both worlds since I didn't have to apply for either team - they both asked me to join them!! lol

Most CT's require their own number of sites galleries to post in. It's different for each designer. Most like to see DST and or MSA, as well as whatever store they sell at.
So for example Mikkel wants us to post LO's to DST, MSA, Oscraps, and then anything else we want.
Julie wants SSD, MSA, DST, and wherever else we want.
 
Well DST (DigiShopTalk) and MSA (My Scrapbook Art) and TDC (The Digi Chick) all have open galleries, so they are great for CT's.

(An open gallery means that you can post lo's in the gallery that do not contain items from the sites sellers, and that you can link outside the site to the products). SSD is not an open gallery.

I post to SSD, DST, TDC, MSA, Oscraps, and Traci Reed's Product Gallery. DST, MSA, and TDC all get everything uploaded to them. SSD gets LO's that use SSDesigner products, OR challenge LO's (but non SSD products are NOT linked). Oscraps only gets my LO's for Mikkel really. And Traci's gallery gets LO's using only her products.

So how much did I confuse you there? LOL!
