I Wanna Be on a CT!

not confusing at all!! i am glad i have more of an understanding now. i am like, did i read the guidelines?? lol. i am sure i did but was probably so excited to get started posting and chatting that i was like, ok i got it.

good luck! it is fun to be on CTs

Don't know if this was mentioned but you might also catch a designer's eye if you respond to appropriate ISO threads with their relevant products . . .

But sometimes a designer might just ask you out of the blue . . . that has happened to me a few times and sure beats the stress of a call.

oh, sorry!

ISO = In Search Of ...

You'll see threads posted (esp at DST) where someone is looking for a certain type of kit, element, etc.

I've applied to CT calls a couple times, but I always seem to miss them. I would certainly love to CT for any designer here. On another topic, I really need to update my DST gallery. I seem to forget about it.

I have to say right now the designers here at SSD have the kind of stuff I'm really, really into right now. The Saturday new releases were the first emails I went to when I got back from vacation last Thursday. Honestly!!!!!

So if any designers from here at SSD are looking, PICK ME - even it were a guest spot for a month!!! I could spend my whole pay over here and really have to stop myself from hitting the "add to cart" button. Since I'm a nurse, you know what kind of pay I'm talking spending and hubby would be :cursing: at me LOL.....

I just haven't been able to get into doing any LOs except for the ADSR. Hoping with our annual licensing (which is stressful) being over and just getting back from vacation, I can find my mojo!

**anyone tired of my sucking up??? LOL **

Col and Sara, add me to the list of KCB wannabees!

I am on a few CTs and 1 Guest, 3 of my CTs are here at SSD which is fab! I am guest for Micheline this month so that kinda makes 4 at SSD! I think that means I should just be a babe! ;)

Seriously, all the advice here was great, I only apply for teams of Designers I love and know I would buy there stuff anyway because I have been on a store CT where I couldn't always work with who I was assigned and I really struggle with that. This is not my job it's my hobby so if I can't enjoy it then its not worth it KWIM?

Any of the designers here would be a dream CT for me! This is my favorite place in the whole of digiland! LOL

My two cents, for whatever it's worth, is just to keep scrapping with the products you love. Designers DO notice the people that buy & scrap with their designs regularly. In fact, of all my CT spots, only 2 of them have been from calls. The others were invites from the designers because they knew I loved & used their stuff! I know when you are "ready" to be on a CT, it seems hard to go that route, but you'll be much happier working for someone whose stuff really clicks with you.

I'll also say -- don't apply or accept just anything .. it might be okay for a couple of weeks but you won't want to keep it up if you don't mesh well.

definitly! plus, my big dream is to be on Shabby Princess's CT. i LOVE her kits! or Shabby Miss Jenn!! i love the vintage look. that explains why i'm crazy about Rachel Ashwell's Simply Shabby Chic line at Target, too lol.

I  Rachel Ashwell, got a few of her books and look at them all the time

I was stalking Traci after being spotlighted on the Hawt Mama Blog but I have decided that stalking will get me nowhere, just use her stuff and post them and hope she likes what she sees...Of course I would KILL for a spot on anyones CT here but I will just have to be patient and see what happens ;)
