How to use choc. baking bar?

I've had this semi-sweet chocolate bar (4oz.) sitting in my "baking basket" for a few months now. I was originally planning to use it for a cake but forgot all about it. What else can I use it for? Can I chop it up and use it like chocolate chips in cookies? I am JONESING for something chocolatey!

Those ones usually need to be combined with something sugary in the baking process, or they taste bitter, don't they?

I say find a good brownies recipe! *drool*

If it's Baker's brand there is usually a good recipe on the inside of the package...I use the brownie recipe that they usually have on the semi-sweet package and they're yummy.

Yeah, if it's sweet enough to eat straight, I'd skip the baking process altogether LOL!

But, mmmm, brownies... now I have them stuck in my head!

depends on how cold it is where you are but it makes great hot chocolate

Heat up 2 and a quarter cups milk until just simmering, grate up the chocolate while it's heating, remove from heat & whisk in the chocolate. Once combined add a teaspoon or two of sugar and a dash of vanilla.

you just eat it. raw like that. and then wash it down with some vanilla extract. oh...wait....childhood flashback. :glare:
