ok I'm at my wits end..my oldest is in 8th grade and in her 2nd year of school outside the home (I hesitate to say public school..b/c it's a small city school/uniforms/very nontraditional public school ie: they pray, etc) Anyways we are thinking about going back to home schooling and I was wondering if anybody here has homeschooled the higher grades..She was homeschooled until entering 7th grade and last year was an ok year..not spectacular but was ok. Anyways what program, etc do you use if you have been successful at higher grade education. I am looking for something that's pretty independent. She's a pretty good learner just lacking some motivation right now. Definitely a kid that likes to do things at her own pace and in her own time. She's not very good at time management. Of course I'll be around to monitor and help facilitate anything but really want this to be something she can do on her own.
any help would be great
I'm open to a combo of things if that helps..
my state does not have Connections Academy which I've heard about and I've used K12.com before but not for anything higher than 5th grade. I'm pretty much leaning toward K12.com again unless something else that's better suited is mentioned/found.
Thanks!
