Hawaii here we come.

So, my friends it is with much ado that I bid thouest farewell this friday.

I am off to Hawaii for my 10 year wedding anniversary!

We are staying on Kauaii for 7 full days and we have tons planned already.

We are doing the zipline and the atv tour for sure. We also rented a Jeep Wrangler to drive around so we will have plenty to discover that way as well.

Since, I love all of your advice so much, any pointers for Kauai? Have you ever been and know of any amazing things to do, see or eat...or NOT to eat, see or do?

I know you all will miss my motor-mouth, but never fear I am giving you a 2 day notice so you can deal with your "Lizzy withdrawal" in your own timing. :blink:

Way to go, lizzy! Congrats on your 10th to you and Mr. Lizzy! No Kauai tips - because I've just been to Maui - but really hope you enjoy yourselves, relax, and soak up the beauty that is Hawaii.
 
Ooooh what FUN! I have been to Oahu- soo beautiful! My only tip, take extra cards for your camera! heheh
 
We did a kayaking trip on the river out to the ocean. It was FABULOUS. I totally recommend that.

ETA: I'm wicked jealous, by the way!
 
Congrats on your 10year!! My best friend just moved to North Carolina from Kauai (DH is a marine) and they were there for 4 years..she totally LOVED it!!

no tips though on what to do haha
 
Me = Jealous.

Totally ask your guide to take you to some of the Lost sets, since they're on hiatus now and they're back open to the public. Just remember not to drink and drive while you're there, or they'll have to kill you off on the show. <3

Have so much fun!! You deserve it for ten years!!
 
Happy anniversary Lizzy!! What an exciting trip to take, I'm so jealous!! That is my dream vacation, maybe in 2 years when we have our 10 year we'll be going (well a girl can dream anyway lol)!

first off, congrats!! 10 years is wonderful!!

2nd, I LOVE Kauai!! I was there 3 years ago for my college graduatioon with my family (they went twice before without me, lol). My parents have a time share out there.

Where are you staying? We stayed on the south side at the Embassy Suites right next to the Hyatt Regency in Poipu. Poipu Beach is right nearby and AWESOME. There's an amazing place to eat right nearby called Breneckies. DELICIOUS!

Before I get sidetracked, check out this web page. LOTS of info!

Since my family had been there twice, they took me to all sorts of fun places. Shipwreck Beach is nice, Spouting Horn is really cool, Waimea Canyon is AWESOME and I definitely recommend checking it out. We took a kayak trip UP the river and then hiked to a waterfall, which was also REALLY cool. Also be sure to check out Hanalei Bay and the Napali Coast on the North Shore.

Oh man, I'll wait and see where you're staying before I make anymore recommendations, lol.
 
Congrats on 10 years!!! I hope you have a truly AMAZING time!!! Unfortunately I have never been to Hawaii so I can't give ya any pointers...

How awesome! I'd love to go to Kauai! I lived on Oahu for 3 years when I was a kid and never got to go to any other island. I wish I had some pointers for ya but I'm sure there isn't one thing you can do that won't be awesome!

Oh I know one, don't eat the Poi! It's nasty!

col! your so full of knowledge!! we are staying on the southeast shore in a timeshare resort...lihue i think is the name of the town. :) we will be checking out all your recommendations! ty so much!
