Got some news tonight

You will be a young and beautiful grandma who is able to do all the fun stuff with that baby. Congratulations Jessica!!

I totally agree with this! Maybe this new addition is just what you and your family need to help replace some of the grief with new, happy times and memories. Much love to you all! :)

OMG I can't wait to be a grandma, lol! I already have some of my kids toys set aside for the kids to play with when they come to our house. I save all the Thomas trains, Legos, my dd's gymnastics/dance costumes and Barbies. Dh thinks I'm NUTS but how cool will it be for them to play with the same stuff my kids did? PLUS, can you imagine the scrapbook pages I can make with pics of my granddaughter wearing the same leo as her mommy did? LOL! Assuming I will still be scrapping then. I am going to spoil them like crazy, just like my grandma did. She just died, so I guess I'm thinking about it even more.

How old were you when she was born? My cousin was 16 when she had her son. We're the same age but my oldest is 13 and her's is 18!

I had her just before I turned 16. She will be a few weeks shy of 21 though when she has her baby. I am really glad she did not get pregnant as a teenager because so many of the girls in her school were having babies. I know she will still have a lot of struggles being young and all but that is what we are for :) She knows anytime she needs a babysitter I will be there. Oh and she already picked a name for me. Gaga LOL (not anything to do with Lady Gaga though). My nephew who is going on 25 now I guess could not say Jessica. So he callled me Gaga. And after he started calling me that ALL of them did even if they could say my name. He sometimes still slips and says Aunt Gaga. I would not mind Grandma but do not want Nana (my mom was called that), Memaw or Mimi (that is what my husband's mom was called).

I turned 21 about 2 months after my first was born too. My SIL didn't have her first child till she was well into her 30's. Hmm... I'm not sure what I want to be called. Not Nana though.

awww congrats!! babies are such blessings!
Im also 36 and my oldest is 16...I am so scared of her being a teen mom more than i am worried about being under 40. She has no bf yet so i think we are in the clear for now. ::crossing fingers & toes::
I wasnt so young (20) so im hoping she sees that
