Lorie that is really sweet but at the same time really sad.
I will add though that one thing about deployments is that you kind of get to have first kisses all over again when they come home ♥

I'm not as sad about it as I am glad it happened at all. I so appreciate that he was a part of my life and my son is the best gift I have ever been given. I talk about my husband pretty freely because he is still with me, I carry him in my heart. Makes dating other men really tough though.![]()
I can totally see that. Your story just kinda touched my heart because of how I could have lost my husband last year in a car accident. I dont think I would ever have a place in my heart for another person.
I actually have a picture of mine & hubby's first kiss! And it was in front of a couple of hundred people. Our first kiss was on our wedding day when the preacher told him to kiss his bride! I was SO nervous! It was my first kiss ever & he was super sweet about it since he knew I was so nervous. Just a sweet little kiss. But, the second one, after we walked out of the auditorium, that was a good one! LOL![]()
& I love hearing all these stories.
Lorie I am sorry that you lost your husband but so glad you have your son and your husbands memory to last a lifetime![]()
Ok this is such a fun thread!![]()
DH was my first kiss. We were 16 and had dated about a month. We were both super nervous so it was just a peck on the front porch and I am sure my dad was spying on us LOL! He officially became my first and last guy I've ever kissed <3.
Thanks for the prompt Kristen!
I should really scrap the story of DH and I for my daughter. Now that she's in Jr. High and getting a bit boy crazy she keeps asking me about how we met, etc. She has a natural curiosity since she doesn't remember her father, much less the 2 of us together.
Ok, now we need a new really mushy first date/kiss/how we met kit to go with our stories Kristin!!!
