this deployment is officially OVER!! :w00t:

I'd just like to thank all my "sweet" friends here who have let me vent, whine, complain and basically drive everyone nuts over the past year...seriously you have no idea how much it helped to be able to come here and have some sympathetic ears...it really helped me feel like I wasn't totally alone in this :) Love you girls (and guy) :p !!

DH was home over the weekend for 2 days and had to go back for demob stuff but today all of them are on buses heading home! He'll have about 3 weeks of leave before he goes back to work so I'll be busy with him the next few weeks...we start on Ella's nursery finally next week which I'm so excited about! :) :)

anyway..thanks again for all your support! :)
 
So happy for you, Nikki! Please thank him for his service...and thank you for your sacrifice as well.

Have lots of fun having him back home :)

Nikki - I'm just do glad it's done! Enjoy his time off - I hope you settle into a routine smoothly and quickly. Yay! It's over!
 
FINALLY! Yay for you and your family Nikki! I'm so glad that he will be home for good now!

So question, I know that your DH is still Active Duty... but what is his job (you said he gets 3 weeks leave before going back to work)? I assume he's working locally... are you guys on a base?
 
ya i was pretty much at my wits end with you, nikki. all that moaning that your hubby had been gone for years...gosh! LMBO!!

honestly, it was our pleasure. imagine if we didn't all have the camaraderie we have (*cold wave of sadness over takes me* i just cried a little). i'm happy we have each other and i'm happy your hubby is home!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!! :w00t:

Jaedyn he's what's called AGR or Active Duty so he works full time at the unit/armory in town about 5 miles from here. You know most national guard just do the 1x a month/2 weeks a year thing (well that is when they're not deployed) but DH is full time guard. He's an officer (captain up for promotion to major) and his official job is "logistics officer" (I think lol) Anyway, all he's ever done is army...next year will be 15 years. When he's not deployed he works 5 days a week except for drill weekends usually 7-5. I can't WAIT for those hours again lol
