Are you a Thread Killer? Let the Game Begin!

hullo girlies!!!! Sorry I've been ignorant, I have been absolutely flat out lately . . BUT now should be all ok for awhile - just have gift wrapping to do, which I love, and can scrap for pleasure instead of frantically trying to get pages done for books for Christmas!!! Of course it's a pleasure to do that too, but I was so stressed that I wouldnt be finished in time that I didnt get to enjoy it as much.

Had our Chrissie party at work today - we went to a very underwhelming place. Food was ok, service was questionable . . and to top it off my old boss had to be there and one of my lovely mates had their last day today . . SIGH!!! I am hoping that the new year is gonna be a good one, and I will be working on regaining my positive attitude! :)

Donna, that sounds like a great Christmas party... NOT. Lol. I'm sorry, but at least you've made it past that and hopefully won't have to deal with the old boss for ever again.

I'm just so excited it's Friday. Tomorrow we are headed to see my parent's. Going to go see Christmas lights and celebrate my nephew's second birthday. It should be a GREAT weekend.

Donna, glad you got your book finished finally! Yay! And glad that party's over for you...sounded like a real good time :(

I'm excited for this weekend, too! We are having Christmas at my in-laws on Sunday, plus, we are getting my DD a big big-girl bed! She's been out of her crib for almost a year, but we bought her a full-sized bed! She's gonna look so tiny in it! I was gonna buy her a cute sheet set and all that for Christmas, but I think I'm gonna let her pick out what she wants...it'll be fun to pick it out together.

Hey Threadkiller Girls!

I'm back from Maui. Dead tired, I was awake for 35 hours straight and finally went to bed at 9pm last night and I'm still beat this morning. eeeek!

We have our company Christmas party that we're in charge of hosting and hubby informed me last night that I need to play "tour guide Barbie" to some of the wives of guys who flew in for the party today. Normally, I love that stuff. Today? I just want to see my kids!!!

We actually went and saw our kids at school during recess and during their lunch yesterday to say hi, we missed them so much! After today, I feel like I will breath a sign of relief and work on getting ready for Christmas!

Sorry about your party, Donna, at least it's overwith, lol. Jen, I hope you're doing okay on your crutches. So you're not in a boot? You couldn't have weight on your foot all this time? That's the worst! I'm so sorry. When my foot was broken I just had a walking boot, but crutches are much worse. I have no idea how you would do dishes, cook, vacuum, etc. You poor baby! hugs!

Andrea, I;ve got one of those boots that is only shoe, it sucks. I was on crutches for almost 2 weeks to keep from weight bearing. I'm still in the shoe for another ten days or so.

Donna, how's the stop smoking campaign going? You should totally make a siggy!

Kate your siggy is too cute!

Sounds fun! I wish we had that!

I just posted some underwater scuba diving pics from Maui for those of you who have me on fb!

this was the first(our farmer's market only launched this summer) but it was awesome! 60 vendors showed and the pavillion was completely full.

I hate laundry... I could wash it all the time but putting it away...ech! This is also my first time here in this forum... just registered. SO. EXCITED!

welcome!

I think I'm coming down with something. this exhaustion just feels worse...i feel like I got run ove rby a truck even after sleeping 9 hrs last night.

Mmmm... grilled cheese and tomatoe soup on a cold windy day! That my husband made for me! Yah... doesn't get much better.

FINALLY got to see the new Muppet movie! Hilarious!

I thought that movie was totally cute! I love when they first see Kermit's old house and then there's the choir music saying "ahhhhhh" and it was just the bus with choir people driving by. That sort of humor cracks me up, lol!

My favorite part of the movie is the "Muppet or a Man" musical sequence. I won't say any more than to say that the cameo in this sequence is priceless! :D

Donna, you seem to be avoiding the smoking questions...you've got me worried!

I have had a few falls . . but I'm doing ok!!! I am trying not to beat myself up about the times I have given in - my doctor told me that if I cane myself over my slip ups I will be more likely to just start up all over again. He said that even though its totally no excuse, it was likely to happen due to all the stress at work lately, but also I have to HARDEN UP and keep being positive, and not focus on my mess ups . . so this is what I'm trying to do!! This is why I havent penalised myself with the counter, cos I'm doing ok! And compared to how many cigarettes I would have smoked before, I am doing REALLY WELL!!! :)

Good job, Donna... Just keep at it and I'm sure it will get easier. It's just such a hard habit to kick.

I just saw a young photographer pretty much promoting smoking with the fashion, artsy, type pictures of a couple smoking. I had to resist the urge to post "Haven't you heard that smoking KILLS. Stop making it look cool." Some people are just dumb.

SLow and steady DOnna. Even one less cigarette a day is progress, so as long as you keep working on stopping, that's what really matters!

We haven't been too chatty lately girls... Everyone crazy busy? I know I am.

I am trying to figure out what to get the in-laws and the parents for Christmas. Ideas???

Of course, I'll be giving some hybrid SSD digiscrapping type gifts, but what else? What else are you getting for your in-laws and parents? Do you have favorite shopping websites or catalogs for buying for your in-laws or parents?

I'm at a total loss for in-law presents, so I'm no help. I left that responsibility to my husband, so they probably will be getting cookies that I make right before Christmas when I realize we got them nothing.

I got my mom a wine stopper and my dad a recipe book filled with grilling, smooking, deep frying, etc.

uhm. My husband buys for my inlaws. I usually make up some cards for them, but that is it.

My mom is getting a thimble case, cinnamon cocoa mix, all natural soap and a lotoin bar.

My dad is getting a kindle(my brother and I went in on it), a bamboo wind chime, and some gift cards.
