Hey guys, I may not be around for the next week or so, we had a trip come up all of a sudden and we leave Friday morning and I'm going crazy trying to get ready! So if you don't see me, know I'll be back!

Uh oh, ladies! This thread wasn't even on the today's posts today!

Who is finished with Christmas shopping? Who hasn't even started? We are just barely getting started on our shopping.

We haven't put up any decorations yet either! Now that it's December 1, we can probably start thinking about it.

Ugh, I'm trying to get more work done, but I'm to the point now where if my foot is not up it hurts, and none of ym work stuff is on my laptop.
 
Yeah, I think that's what's gonna happen :( I kept waiting and waiting for it to come yesterday, but I think it's one of those UPS to USPS deals. I want my Kindle!!
 
Funny story. I work in our county courthouse. Well, the lady at the DMV office next door gets way into Christmas- so do I. I love the decorations and music and blah blah blah. Well, today she started her Christmas music. I listed to Sirius radio online all day on my computer, but it isn't too loud incase I have to answer the phone. She put a CD player outside her office, in the hallway, right next to our open door and is blasting George Straits Christmas CD. The music is great, but it's loud and I want to decide what I listen to at my desk. I literally couldn't hear my computer over her CD. I don't know if I should laugh or be annoyed... I'm going to go with laugh, because I don't want to be in a bad mood. Lol. Anyway, it's going to be a LONG December.

Update on the new iMac. It is so stinking fast. And the 27 inch screen is beautiful. And I suck at using my Magic Mouse. lol. I'm working on getting everything moved over. I forgot what a pain it is to switch computers.
 
Have you ever had an external fail? I keep everything on my laptop and two different externals. Plus, I have time machine copy everything off my computer, too. Oh and I upload all my edited pictures to smugmug. I'm obsessive about backing up.
 
Yes, I did lose one external. I keep multiple backups of externals, we have a network drive as well, and I upload most photos to flickr.

The external taht did fail, i only loast 17 items off of it. Everything else I was able to recover or had backed up elsewhere. It was my first external, and was 4 years old at the time, lol
 
this is the thread that will never end, yes it will go on and on my friends. somebody(darcy) started it, not knowing what they'd done, and now we'll continue posting until the thread explodes from fun......
