Had a great day. Just vegged and shopped for Christmas presents for my nieces and nephews. Now making taco salad for dinner (but I'm out of black beans and neither of us feel like running to the store. So we are bean-less :()
 
It's eight where you are right, Jen? I think that could qualify as bed time.

I had a great time with hubby. We went to see J. Edgar and out to eat. Plus, I got to drag him into Walmart with me for groceries. Now, I'm hiding at home, freezing to death. We've got our third cold front in like five days rolling in. It's so cold.
 
yup, I'm on east coast time. I ended up falling asleep at 3:30 am....and up at 5. ugh. ugh. so tired and achy. I let maggie out to play and fed her and tried to get more sleep, she took over my pillow, and then decided it would be fun to go swat at my injured foot. oy.

So Jenn, what are the best places to find Kindle book deals? I mean, they don't seem to have a category on Amazon for "cheap books." LOL Any pointers? And how do I share books with people? Or know if they're even eligible?

on the right hand side there is a menu with the top 100 paid and top 100 free books.


to see if a book is lendable, you have to log in to your amazon account and if the book is lendable, it will offer the option.

Make sure you are signed up via overdrive and your library, you can check books out there for up to two weeks as well.
 
Our library doesn't offer it yet, but we put it in the budget to get Overdrive next fiscal year. (Sshhh. Don't tell our patrons yet! We haven't made the announcement!)

I'm wearing jeans to work today and feel like such a rebel. At 8 am, it is only 0 degrees out with a -12 windchill. My dress pants are just not think enough. lol.
 
You are just the model employee, Kate. :thumbup: I actually work in an office related to agriculture and 4-h... so jeans are totally fine. I just prefer to wear dress pants and my glittery Toms because they are so comfortable. Today, I'm wearing jeans and cowboy boots. lol.
 
We're actually allowed to wear "dress jeans." And I should've today. 'Cause it's freakin' cold outside. But not as cold as it is there. We're in the 20's.
 
brr. I do not miss subzero windchill and temps. I think the coldest we've had here with windchill was in the teen's.

my cat is super needy today. she's been glommed onto me since I got up.
 
Thanks guys!! I love Bones too, it may actually be my all time favorite show, which is saying a lot since I do not like CSI type shows at all. I don't like that portion of the show, but rather the characters. They are some of the best ones I have seen on TV in a long time. No scheming or backstabbing, just real people doing real people things. :)
