Okay so I have NEVER had a boil EVER. and of all places to develop your first one.......in the crease of my buttocks. Disgusting and embarrassing all rolled into one with this issue. So I am sorry if this offends you stop reading now. But, I really need to hear some stories, get some advice and know what to prepare for to help me out. Because I have Fibromyalgia, just recovered from a 6 week UTI and have been becoming naseauseous after being in front of my computer for more than 15 minutes, this whole boil cropping up on Saturday is pushing me over my breaking point! I just don't know who much else I can deal with! Of course, I can't sit hardly without some kind of contortunist shape on a heating pad with a pillow and I just took my 4th sitz bath for the day. I am taking xanax 2 to 3 times per day to calm my nerves and relax me so I don't wig out over it. Online I have read that it takes 5 to 7 days for them to come to a head and most times drain on their own. I read that they can be caused by sitting for long hours (I just drove 5 hours to see my parents on Thurs) or can be caused by kidney issues (which I would qualify for seeing that I just came off of 6 weeks of a UTI) or by a lowered immune system (sick all the time). So, whatever the heck caused it is pissing me off. I am unbelievably frustrated and don't know what I will do if another pops up after this. I am just not mentally capable of dealing with anymore medical issues right now. I am spent.
Any body have any experience with boils that might be able to help me either feel a bit better or prepare me for what lies ahead? Any ideas on easing the pain? This is one of the most painful things I have experienced in my life! And I birthed 3 children naturally with no meds, had a kidney stone removed surgically and over 4 surgeries (including a tummy tuck). Please help!!!!!!! I am soooooooooooo FRUSTRATED beyond belief! And I have layouts I want to get done! Darnit!
Thanks for letting me rant girls!
