A Week in Life.. chatter thread

I'm in the middle of a LO for the Portfolio that I need to finish, then I may start scrapping mine. I'm doing cleaner pages than usual, but I am planning to use papers and some elements. It's too much fun not to, and I don't mind if it takes me a month (or two) to finish them. :) I'll do other pages in between scrapping my AWITL album so I don't get bored.

Okay, I started my album today. I got the pictures inserted into the templates up until Friday, but now we are having a thunderstorm and I didn't want to risk my iMac's life. So I unplugged and am now working on my laptop. I am really, really excited about how this project turned out and can't wait to share it.

I was worried that I wouldn't have enough pictures, but I'm actually going to have three spreads per day! They are generally morning, afternoon, and night and I captured a something little different each spread.

Rachel, I'm using Lynette's templates with Traci's slip ins. On a few spreads, where I have an extra picture, I'm inserting some word art or one of those project life journaling pages. It's looking really neat! I'm going to play around some more and maybe add a few more elements to each page.

I can't wait to see! Doing something like that with Slip Ins is one of the things I'm considering. I don't have the newest album, but I have a few packs of Traci's slip-ins, the Style Builders she did with Cindy, and a few of the single pages she's done with Lynnette. If I use the ones Traci did with Lynnette or Cindy, I'll just replace most of the decorative pockets with photos or journaling. A few days ago I made a big folder with copies of previews for all the different templates I have that might work, and when I finish typing in my journaling and narrowing down my pictures a little more I'll pick a template style that fits.

I'm burnt out... kinda glad I'm doing the Instagram version this year :)

I think with doing Project Life and getting ready for NSD and doing AWITL was a bit too much all at the same time... hopefully next year it won't be so close to NSD LOL

All day today, I kept reaching for my camera and composing the day's notes in my head. I've got to admit I was a little relieved every time I remembered it was over and I didn't have to do either.

This is me...only not PL, but I had a lot of work and going out of the house this year. I'd get so tired, when I get home the last thing I felt like doing was taking pictures. :P

my heart just wasn't in it this year... I did make it through all the days, but I'm not excited to go back and scrap it... but I have that shutterfly coupon hanging over my head to use... :D

Angie, I'm only doing 2 page spreads per day because the Shutterfly book is 20 pages and I don't want to pay for extra pages... so I'm going to do some filler pages in there to fill it up :)

Oh and Thursday I only had enough for the one page... so I think I'll take a picture of Moriah's ballet slippers and just fill the other side with it :)

does anybody else have 4 pages per day?

I've got three per day. Totally unexpected. I was more expecting two, but I've got a solid three for each day. And it's just Colby and I. If I had a bunch of kids running around I'd probably have four or more. lol.

ETA- I've got three spreads per day, so I guess that's actually 6 pages. Ek. I like a thicker book and don't really mind paying extra.

I'd like to have 3 pages a day. (I know that seems like a strange number because facing pages will sometimes be different days, but I have too much for 2 and would rather not have the work of 4 per day.) But I'm probably fooling myself even considering 3--I'll be cutting out a lot to get down to 4, never mind 3. So yeah, I'm figuring on 4 a day. I'll also have a handful of other pages--1 for each of the boys at school, Dan at work, meals, and an intro. I'll never finish in time to take advantage of any of the current promotions, so once I'm done I'll just wait until there's a good sale to print.

Here's my first spread:

Only 21 (plus a few additional pages I want to add) left. lol.

Actually, this came together rather quickly and quite easily. I've got almost all the other pages laid out and just need to add journaling and a few elements.

OK... here are my daily pages... now to figure out my filler pages LOL

Just bumping this thread because I've finally figured out how I'm doing my pages and started getting a few of them done. I'm doing 3 pages a day, all very similar (same kit and template). Each day will be a different kit and template. That seems to be the best balance for me--it's quick to put together but still fun to scrap.

Monday morning:

Monday afternoon:

I won't bother posting Monday evening because it's so similar to Monday morning's page, just a few elements moved around so it's not identical.

And here's one of my standalones, our meal page. On my full size page I went back and added the day on each of the photos.
