We visited a Belgian theme park especially for toddlers. Something like Disney but with Belgian television characters. We thought it would be fun for Finn. But at the entrance a lady grabbed his arm and put a stamp on his hand. He and I both shocked because we didn't see that coming. Finn was so shocked he started crying and panicked.
We tried to calm him down by distracting him, offering him a drink and food, let him watch television on the iPad for a bit, but the damage was done. He didn't want to do any rides, he screamed and cried the entire time. He wasn't even interested in the playground. So after an hour, we just left. It could have been fun, but it wasn't.

Oh no so sorry about the story Sweetie! But this is shocking she just take his hand like this and put a stamp. O and N hates stamps on their hand too and they cried when they were little too but without telling you is worst. This place seems so cute and cool but I understand Finn had a big scare time! Poor baby!:wub:
Anyway your layout is super cute and full of joy! I love the colors you used and the cute pictures of Finn even if it was not as fun as it seems for him!:(

I didn't know Maya the bee was Belgian. Those pics are my fave!:wub:

Thank you so much, sweetie. I'm not sure Maya the bee is originally Belgian. I think she is German. But Studio 100 (the Belgian company that has all the other characters) bought the German company including Heidi and Maya the bee. I think. Lol.

Yeah, the place is really cool. And all the rides are for toddlers. So he should have had fun. But the only time he didn't cry was when we were in the elevator.
Ward went with him to play in the playground (see the two photos), but he didn't want to get in. I could snap two photos before he ran out.

Aww. I can't believe she did that without a warning. That could have been handled better. Pics are really cute and perfect for a multi photo page.

Aww poor guy! Maybe another time when he is a little older he won't get so scared. Beautiful page. I love the bold background and your clusters are fantastic.

Aaaw, I'm so sorry she scared Finn. Maybe she shouldn't be working around toddlers. You did an fabulous job with the photos you were able to capture. Hopefully, you can try again.

Poor Finn! So sorry he had a bad experience there. It looks like it would have been such a fun place for him. Love the colourful page, the kit choice, and your amazing cluster work. Also love the title alpha. Great page!

Yeah I guess how it was. If he was scared it was lost. I'm so sorry even with Ward playing with him he didn't want to play. I guess you were both disapointed. I remember O acted the same when he was angry or scared and you can't do anything more... (sometimes he is still like this but shhhh...:D). Maybe you should try next year explaining him the stamp and maybe playing to draw little thing on his hand before. I know it can be very difficult. Mine still hate this.:wub

Yeah, we'll try again next year. Maybe he was just too little. A friend from work went with his two daughters a few months ago. He said they both loved it. His youngest daughter is a few months older than Finn. But the younger daughter has a bigger sister to look up to. So maybey that was less scary.

We will probably renew our membership to the zoo in August. And I am going to give my mom a membership to the zoo as well as a present. She often takes care of Finn. I know she will love going to the zoo with him.

So sorry to read O got scared as well.

Yeah, now we know what was coming. I had no idea the lady was about to give Finn a stamp. If I had known, I would have handled it differently. But it happened and I can't undo it.
