Thanks. I know people sometimes have to work because their boss is making them blah, blah, blah, but my husband is self employed. This is all him and my in-laws so whatever.

So I *heard* us win. I was driving down the road honking my horn for about 10 straight miles LOL. I got home in time to see the trophy handed out and Freese win the MVP.

I was honestly pained that you had to miss this game! There was a time where it was almost tied and then TX pitched some awful balls and walked a few players, they swaped him out and the next pitcher actuallly HIT our guy on his hip, but it was an automatic walk since the bases were loaded. I think once this happened TX knew it was over! It was fun to watch and I wished the whole time my die-hard friend was able to watch. Did you get to DVR/TiVo it by chance? If so, you should go back and watch it.

The crowd was SO loud, I was blown away by how they just cheered the ::whole:: time for their team. You can tell what serious fans you guys have there in St. Louis! Even my cute mom (who's from St. Louis) watched the game and called me (and my mom watches sports 10 times LESS than I usually do, so let me tell you, that is HIGHLY unusual!) and she even posted about it on her fb status, and she hardly ever posts anything on her fb status! It was too cute! :)

SO HAPPY FOR YOU KATE! :) GO CARDS!
 
Again, you guys are just the best! And Andrea, did you notice when you were telling me that story that you said "our team"!!!!!! And yes, I DVR'ed it and watched it. And watched game 6 again, too. Both were so amazing.

Marla, I'm sorry hubster's gone. I would totally miss mine, too. And HaPpY bIrThDaY!!!

And now for my sad news. My desktop, the computer I scrap on, is down for the count. I'm guessing it's the power supply, since it just won't power on. :( :( Thank goodness I have this laptop to keep up with you all. I can even scrap on it, but my whole stash and of course my 100,000+ pics are on my desktop.
 
Thanks, Ladies. I had a fairly good day. I went to lunch and a movie with my mom and baby sister. Now I'm thinking about relaxing and doing a little picture editing. :)
 
oh no Kate!!! I would feel like I'd lost a limb if I couldnt scrap . . I feel your pain!!

Had to go to a work 'do' last night . . picnic on the river, nice place but UGH it was sooooo boring. My lil girls had a ball, which was good tho. Worst thing was we got lost twice!! 1.5hr drive to get there, got a bit lost on the way and had to call the boss (again, UGH) for directions, then only stayed 1.5hrs before we left for the 2.5 hour drive home cos we got lost REAL bad . . should have seen me with the iphone and hubby phone both going trying to get directions LOL
 
Glad you had a good birthday, Marla, and LOL about the cow in your front yard! Have you read the Pioneer Woman's book? I think it's called "High Heels to Tractor Wheels" it's cute and makes me think of you!

Kate, I'm so sad about your computer. Computer woes in this hobbie are awful! Did you have any of your goodies backed up on an EHD? I hope you can use some of your stash with that maybe... I hope you can get your regular machine back asap, and at least you have the laptop, even though it's not your real deal, how else would we get our "Kate fix" for the day? lol :)

Marla, the cow thing cracked me up!! We live in a rural community, and the school borders onto paddocks of cows . . last year at our annual outdoor Christmas Concert at my daughter's school, we had a melodic cow moo-ing along while the kids sang carols!!!

Kate - please tell us you're up and scrappin again!!

And Jen, I'm with Andrea, wanna see some scrappiness a-la Disney!!

Andrea, I'm doin ok, except I was very very naughty with my giving up smoking . . after almost 2wks I caved on my bday, bought a pack of 20 and smoked the whole dang lot in one day . . *SIGH* . . then I felt sick so that was good.

So to penalise myself further, I have had to re-start my non-smoking count . . ahhh, sometimes I just suck LOL
 
Hey hey ladies! I've missed you! Cows and getting lost and DST stuff already bought!! I'm missing out!

The tech guy at work is looking at my PC. I told him it HAS to be fixed by this Saturday, because it's the biggest day in digiscrap the whole year. He just kinda looked at me like, ooooooooookay lady. I'm keeping a positive attitude that it's just going to be something simple like the power supply or something. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me! Pleeeease!

Hey ladies! I'm so swamped at work and then can't get online as easily at home without my baby (my broken computer), so I miss you ladies!

I'm having such a conundrum. I applied for a certain store CT (not this one LOL) and in the meantime, 2 CTs were offered to me by the designers (without applying...this is SO flattering) and I happily accepted because I love these designers. But now the store CT I applied for has asked me to join their team. I know I don't have time for a store CT now. But one of my ALL-TIME fave designers is at this store, and I can have access to her stuffs!! That is oh-so-tempting. Store CTs are a lot of responsibility. I had told myself if I was accepted, I'd turn it down, but now that it's a reality, I'm having a hard time! I just need someone to tell me what to do LOL

thanks ladies. I'll admit it, I'm pretty bitter about the holiday season this year. This was supposed to be our year, the year we finally got that baby we had hoped for. Instead, we head into the 6th year of trying to expand our family, still just the two of us.

Sorry sweetie. :( Believe me, I totally understand that stuff. We had a really hard time getting our 3 boys and they have lots of space between them and I had 6 pregnancies. I feel for you, sorry you've had such a rough time at it. :( I truly hope something can happen for you soon. {hugs}

Dang, Kate! What an honor! That's so awesome! Wow, that would be hard for me to turn down as well... plus it depends on what store you're talking about... I have one that I would do a backflip if I was ever asked to be a site CT for... I've been a site CT member a few times and it's a lot of work. Maybe you should tell your two designers that picked you up that you will do the site CT gig instead and not them individually, but you will do all you can to promote them with the site gig. Just a thought... For me, it would be too hard to do both the new designers and the site gig, and site gig's are pretty sweet and hard to pass up... but that's just my 2¢
 
Jen, I so feel your pain. I went for years and years trying so hard to get pregnant. Just when we had finally come to terms with the fact that it wasn't going to happen, I got pregnant and the rest is history. I know you hear those stories all the time, where the couple quits trying so hard and it happens. I just wish I could give you a big squeeze!!

I took the store CT. Now I'm deciding on whether to keep all my other CTs or step down from one or two of them. That's my next conundrum LOL.
 
thanks ladies. we've come to terms with the fact that we can't build our family without major medical intervention. All this time we thought the issue was getting me pregnant, but apparently I have even bigger issues staying pregnant. I'm kind of in a crappy mood after yesterday's 4 hr appointment discussing all this crap with my doctor and having 14 vials of blood drawn for testing...and then coming home and seeing 2 baby announcements and 7 pregnancy announcements on facebook.
 
Try not to get too bitter about it all, as hard as that may be, Jen. I only know a little of what your feeling, and I can't really imagine how you're feeling. Hopefully, someday you'll look back on this time of your life and be like, "Yeah, that was hard, but look at us now." I believe!
