Anyone home?

LOL!

I know there is a lot going on in digiland, hence why it's probably quiet, but I miss everyone!

What are you all up to?

I've not scrapped for a couple of days, I'm working on picking out and editing some music for my skating club's Annual End of year ice show. I've been here for 10 years, and we're picking out some of the best routines from past shows. It's been so much fun looking at old pics, figuring out what we're going to do, and looking at the old programs! It's a bit bittersweet as well, this is my last show here, we're moving in the spring.

So what have you guys been up to? Care to share a page you've done over the past couple of days? I'd love to see what you all have been scrapping! :)

I'm home!
I hadn't scrapped in a few days but I finally got caught up on my CT LO's yesterday.
I didn't even sign into the net at all until late, sometimes you really just have to take a break for yourself and your sanity.
My hubby took me away to a local bed and breakfast for two nights this weekened with strict instructions to NOT even think about getting on the computer. So, for once I listened to him and we had a great time.

PS...You can click my gallery link to see my newest LO's!

Shannon, that sounds like so much fun! I wish DH would take me away. Or maybe he could take the kids and go away so I could be alone for a couple of days....hmmm maybe I'd like that better LOL.

I'm off to see what you made yesterday! :)

I'll be really honest with ya Jamie-The bed and breakfast was exactly 2 blocks south and three blocks east of our house, we saw the boys no less than 4 times while we were there.
They were told to CALL first, and they did everytime.
It was the first time they stayed home alone. Scott said if they end up between us in bed here, he was going to demand a refund.
LMBO!

ROFL! See, you get the best of both worlds that way, you can still go home to make sure they don't tear the house apart, but you can also just disappear. My kidlets are still too little to be left alone, but my mom is flying in on March 9th, so we are thinking about running away for a night. Would that be wrong? LOL

Wrong?
NO WAY, I would trip on the way out the door...LMBO!
I hope you get your little get away Jamie!

aww, that was sweet of your hubby, Shannon! Funny about your boys though.

Jamie, you should definitely take advantage of your mom's visit!

I'm still sick. :( I feel rotten... don't think i've been this sick in years. But I'm still working this week, so I'm worn out on top of everything. I haven't really sat down and scrapped for fun in a few weeks now. I tried this weekend (with my one dinky layout), but it was too much work and not fun at all. I'm just trying to make it through the week, and then I'm scrapping the weekend away!

Feel better soon Libby!
I was sick and working for about two weeks. Sometimes a gal's gotta do what a gal's gotta do!
Any word on the house?

I'm around, sort of. Not that I'm a HUGE poster around here, but my grandma passed away Sunday morning, and I'm feeling a bit down, BUT I'm trying to get some LOs made to have printed for the memorial service and funeral.

I'm osrry to hear this Rachel. Feel better soon!

Jamie, are you still up from last night? Which side of Canada are you on?

We've been having cold weather here on the equator...I think it dropped to 70 degrees today, so I donned long sleeves, lol. We've been super busy lately, so not much scrapping time. I'm trying to finish up like three pages right now, so I don't have much to share.

Being swept away by my husband sounds so nice; for VDay, I got a pack of Starburst...clearly romance is not a priority in my marriage. Fortunately fidelity and love are. ;)

So I'm not sure why I even responded to this thread since I OBVIOUSLY do not have anything interesting to say. Hope you gals have a nice day, though!

Sorry about your grandmother, Rachel ((hugs))

Now, Now Kellie, I for one happen to find most things you say of the upmost interest, don't you know that?
Starburst...LOL...Go Joel, way to make your wife feel "special".
and for the record.
Scott didn't get me anything for Valentines Day, but I did come home to a clean house.
The weekend trip was a bonus because, shhhh...don't tell anyone, but, I think he thinks I'm a bit crazy and over involved with the internet.

WEll aren't we a fun little community. Thanks for the support, girls.

Rachel, sorry about your grandma; I lost my grandfather three years ago, and I still miss him. But my little guy is named after him, and it always makes me feel close to him.

Oh, and Shannon, my husband KNOWS I'm overinvolved in the computer, but he doesn't whisk me away, he just says, "Don't you think you should go to bed now?" or "Isn't there anything better you could be doing?" or "Don't worry, we don't need clean clothes; we'll just keep wearing these dirty ones." But he does pay the bills, so I don't complain TOO much.

Hey girls -

Rachel so sorry about your grandmother, it's hard i know.

Libby - hope you are feeling better.

I've been scrapping a bit the last few days - I think my 3 latest layouts are in the gallery here. I gotta use all that stuff I've been buying so I can justify more. :wub

Last night I went out with my knit night girls for sushi and knitting at the bookstore and it was a much needed break for me - I'm so glad for some adult time. :)

Today - back to the same o same o. Homeschool with the kids and fighting the good fight with the dishes/laundry/clutter. :p

Kellie, I'm on the East coast, in Newfoundland, so it's almost 10 am here now. It warmed up a lot here today, all the snow is melting. I told Tony this morning "Spring is here!" and he just laughed, our weather is terrible, we'll probably have a blizzard tomorrow LOL.

I am LOLing at the Starburst and the Hershey's bar. Tony gets me the SAME flowers every year. It never changes. I'm happy he thinks of me though, but I would have rather the chocolate LOL.

Shannon, I know I am on the computer ALL day every day. I work from home on it most of the day, then I scrap once the kids go to bed. I know I spend too much time here, but I don't watch tv anymore, so I don't know what I'd do if I wasn't here. I really love to scrap, it's my only hobby anymore. I think Tony knows at this point how much I truly do love it, and love you girls (awww). My biggest problem is, the guilt I feel sometimes when I'm working on the computer and not getting the time with the kids during the day I'd like. But then I remember if I was working outside the home, it'd be totally different, and I wouldn't even be here, kwim? Mommy guilt, there is always some, no matter which way you go with it.

FWIW, my grandma and grandpa died within 5 months of each other 11 years ago, and I still miss them both like crazy. They died before I got married and had my kids (though they did meet Tony), and I just know they would have loved my kids so much. Sometimes my heart just breaks, knowing my kids will never know them, and never know just how great they were.

Anyhoo...not trying to get all sappy or anything this morning! LOL!

Morning Emmy! I've been fighting with my laundry and clutter this morning also, two of mine are in school this morning, so I just have one, and she's destroying the playroom as I type LOL. I'm off to leave you some lovin LOL

Rachel, so sorry about your Grandmom, my Nana died 10 years ago this April and I still miss her every single day.

Libby I hope you feel better soon!

Shannon, how fun! I love B&Bs!

Jamie! Go for it when your mom comes for sure! Have fun planning your show, it sounds great! My mom is a huge ice skating fan and watches every show on TV. I used to when Kurt Browning and Scott Hamilton were big but I now that they aren't into it as much I just can't get into it as much anymore. I always wished my mom gave me lessons tho! :)

I haven't scrapped in about 5 days. I have had a migraine since Friday and haven't felt like it. I am hoping it goes away soon so I can get back into it! I bought some new stuff on Saturday I'm dying to use!

I had to laugh at the long sleeve comment at 70 degrees! I'm going to TX in 10 days and am packing my shorts for their 70 degree weather! I can't wait! It's been so stinking cold and snowy here all winter I can't wait for some warm weather! 70 is a heatwave for me!

Oh yes, my grandma was NINETY-NINE!!!! LOL-so, I am a little sad, but it's hard to be REALLY REALLY sad when someone passes away in their sleep, after a long and good life at 99! Ya know!? PLUS my grandpa died almost 40 years ago-so she's been ready since then, I think! I'm happy they are together again!

I got a pizza and beer for V Day, but to my DH's defense that it was I asked for because I was too tired to cook and taking my 4 rotten kids out to dinner just was NOT going to happen....My Daddy always gives me a heart shaped Fannie May box of Turtles so I was a happy camper!!! I get some of those same things said to me about sitting in front of my computer but somehow I always manage to get the laundry done and I have kids to do the other chores so it works out OK, most of the time anyway!!!!

Rachel, I am sorry about your Grandma too...sending HUGS your way!!!!

I actually got a few pages done this weekend, you can check out my gallery if you are so inclined.....

The weekend trip was a bonus because, shhhh...don't tell anyone, but, I think he thinks I'm a bit crazy and over involved with the internet.
hmm, my DH thinks the same about me . . . but I think I've convinced him I'd be CRAZIER w/o it.

Sounds like "life" is in full-swing for everyone! :)

Rachel- I'm so sorry about your grandma...I'm sure she is loving being with your grandpa again. Hugs to you!

Things have been even more crazy around here since Valentine's Day.....I was putting the finishing touches on Jay's gift (a handmade mini-album) and sewing a button on the front. I left my desk for less than a minute and Sami (our 5.5 month old sphynx cat) ATE the needle and thread. Yes, the needle!! So we brought him to the vet ER and he had surgery at 3 a.m. to remove it. He's still recovering and my bank account will be recovering for 6months, but at least it looks like he's going to be OK. Gotta love the little stinkers, right?

Jay and I went out on Saturday to celebrate Valentine's (while "grandma" kept watch on Sami). He bought me a gorgeous antique-looking handmade/painted Swiss watch from Interlochen, Switzerland (he's obsessed with watches and has very good taste, and thankfully this one wasn't very expensive, LOL!), surprised me with a trip to the new butterfly and frog exhibits in D.C and then we went to dinner at a German restaurant. He's a keeper. :)

I managed to finish 2 pages this weekend with Sami on my lap most of the time, they're up in the gallery here (loving the new challenges!).

Yesterday was spent cleaning and doing laundry and today it's back to work...

Hope you all have a great week!
T.

Pam, I hope your migraine goes away and you feel better soon. I get them, thankfully not often, and I hate them. They are so debilitating. ((hugs))

I'm busy with work, but bored with it at the same time.
I've been reading up on all the ridiculous piracy stuff that went on over the weekend. I hope SSD was spared. It really disgusts me to know some of what went on.
Aside from that, my scrap-mojo has left the building. I've got awesome kits to use, but can seem to find the right pictures, or put it together in a way I like. Last night I unzipped some stuff, and ended up watching a movie with Jordan cuz I was too mojo-less to even open PS.

Hopefully today/tonight will be better and my mojo will return to me. :)

Pam have you tried Excedrin Migraine? It's the only thing that gets rid of mine now (thankfully I no longer get them for days, I'm on a preventative). I hope you can make it go away, I've been miserable like that many many times before, I feel your pain woman. I'm sending go away migraine vibes and a big ol hug!

Rachel I'm so sorry about your grandma. I hope you can remember the good times, and cherish her memory always. Maybe scrap a tribute page.

ohmygosh, T! Poor Sami and poor bank account!! My mom's dog Sammy (maybe its the name?) ate a needle once. When they went in to get it out they found the needle alright. But the also found another needle, a small carpet tack/nail (their house was being remodeled) and a piece of broken plastic, sharp as glass! Needless to say, he was a VERY lucky pup and he no longer eats weird stuff. :)
Take care of that kitty!

It really amazes me what these kitties will put in their mouths! Both of mine love ribbons and strings, but I never thought one would actually EAT it!! We're very lucky I knew he ate it right after it happened 'cuz there was no way that needle was coming out the other end on it's own. :) See, THIS is why I digi-scrap!! Shame on me for getting into hybrid stuff, right? LOL

I'm so glad you asked! I've felt distant from all the forums lately because of a busy life! My "in-laws" (really my boyfriend's parents) were here during Christmas, then my parents and brother were here for 10 days in January, then we went to Cleveland for a long 4-day weekend so when I had a moment to myself I would scrap - design, did some layouts, and some hybrid projects (which I've really gotten into lately!).

Only this week have I felt like I've caught up to everything and can relax and scrap for my CTs with ease...
