Anyone home?

oyy that kitty..man oh man..glad he's ok T!!

Sorry about your grandma Rachel but alas she will be reuinited with her love and had a peaceful end on Earth. Can't complain too much about that.

I've just been blah..I think it's pregnancy blues. I'm so ready to give birth so I can actually sit for more than a few mins at a time w/out the need to feel my bladder bust.

Pam I hear ya on the migraine..I used to get them all the time. Col-what preventative you take? I take topamax..works wonders. Went from a migraine or two a week to about 1 every 3-4 months if that. (knock on wood). I pop the imitrex when I feel one coming and it works for me. lol

I'm rambling..I'm off to scrap. Hubby is on vacation this week he he has the little ones occupied for me. My oldest had to get 4 shots at the dr this am (boosters) so she's kinda blah. My baby..lol they grow up too fast

ok see i'm realllllllly rambling now. Off to make the designers I CT for work (watch out K and T here I come!!)

Note on the migraines since my mom and boyfriend get them a lot:

If they're REALLY bad like my mom has her neurologist had insurance approve Botox injections. A doctor injects Botox into the problem nerves in the scalp and I guess it numbs them...my mom says it has REALLY helped her headaches. No, this is not cosmetic. Strictly medical! You have to get them every so often though.

My mom used to take Imitrex but now warns everyone against it - it gave her a heart attack. Not figuratively, literally.

Secondly, if that's not an option for you or if they're not that severe, we bought some Tranquil Mint lotion at Bath and Body works that helps relieve the pain when you rub it on your forehead and massage it into your temples. We also got one of those gel eye masks that helps.

I'm on amitryptaline. I take it every night before bed. I used to get them like Pam's (4 days straight no matter what I did) every 2 weeks or so. So I was getting/sustaining a migraine for about 5 days out of every week. I finally gave in and went to the neurologist. I've been on amitryptaline for about a year now and the migraines have gone down to 1 every 6 to 8weeks or so. Unless I'm out in the sun for a long period of time, get SUPER upset and really cry hard for a while, or forget to take my meds for a few days.

I know a lot of people gain a lot of weight with it though. Thankfully I only gained about 3 pounds. Which was nothing since I needed/wanted to lose weight in the first place.

ahhh yah i remember having that discussion in chat one week..lol
My memory is shot lmbo

Yikes Mikkel that is horrible about the Imitrex for your mom. Sadly, it's one of the only one that works for me :( I don't have to take it often at all thankfully (1 every couple of months) I've taken Maxalt before too with success but my insurance doesn't cover it anymore and it's $$$. Different meds/people react differently and as long as it's monitored by my family dr and neurologist I'll still feel safe taking it.

Anyone want an extra husband? :cursing:

He was supposed to call about our van rental over a week ago, still hasn't. Guy phones me this morning about it, I had no idea Tony hadn't been there! He always blocks me out when I speak to him it makes me nuts. Why don't I just do it all myself, that way at least I know stuff gets done! :cursing:

Anyway, I hope you all are having a good afternoon. I have to go skating shortly!

I've been online almost constantly since Friday. Cooking stuff mostly. Some friends of mine from a parenting group are doing a cooking challenge thing where we are making each other's recipies for dinner & we seem to spend more time on Yahoo Messanger asking questions & sharing photos of what we are doing than we spend cooking. :) last night I made Short Rib Ragu with Polenta. OMG! The best thing ever! Even if I did spend 3 hours online comparing recipes & tracking down substitutions for things I didn't have. Today is just pizza, which I make often enough it isn't much of a challenge. I've actually gotten some scrapping done instead today. :)

Wow, you guys all sound like you've been busy! My DH been home for over a month now on vacation after his tour in Iraq. Today is his first day back at work and while I loved having him here all the time, I am glad to finally have some time to myself. Maybe now I'll actually get some things done? LOL
