Anyone got any good ones or favorites of yours? We are having a few friends over for drinks next weekend and I need some good ideas for appetizers/finger foods.
Suggestions? Nothing too too fancy or difficult, I'm no chef!! :D
TIA!!

Bruchetta! I made an awesome cheater bruchetta over the summer that everyone LOVED. Slice up a baguette and toast it with some olive oil on top. Slice up some mozzarella. Then take a can of diced tomatoes with italian spices and spoon it on top. If it's too chunky, you can toss it in a blender or a food processor for a few spins to get smaller bits. :)

Otherwise, I'm a huge fan of plain ol' cheese and crackers, lol.
Pioneer Woman's Restaurant Salsa is amazingly delicious and takes less than 20 minutes to make too. I love that stuff.

If it's casual... pizza bites. I made them for my son's birthday party and they were a huge hit... using a mini muffin tin, put a small ball of pizza dough and smoosh around and fill with your toppings... pop into the oven until done.

If fancy and oh so yummy are bacon wrapped water chestnuts... seriously everything is better with bacon. LOL!

For fun... you can't go wrong with fondu... ;)

ham wrapped artichoke hearts! Get some cheap sandwich ham from the deli, 1 can of artichoke hearts - drain them and cut in quarters. Cut the ham into 1 inch wide slices, and wrap one piece around each artichoke heart and stick through with a toothpick. Lay the rolled artichokes in a glass dish, cover with Kraft Italian dressing, and broil for 3-5 minutes until they are warmed through. Yum-o.

This is awesome... It's a Pampered Chef Recipe

Mini bagels spread with garden vegetable cream cheese and a slice of summer sausage (or hard salami) in between the two halves. Very simple and very good!

red, green and yellow peppers sliced up and serve with powdered ranch dip mixed up in cottage cheese...yummy and very colorful!

Cheese balls:
2 8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 packet dry Ranch dressing mix
2 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped

Mix it all together and form into a ball. Roll in pecans and chill one hour before serving.

2 medium sweet onions, finely chopped (won't hurt to add in one more onion!)
1 cup mayonnaise (do not use salad dressing, use Hellman's mayo for this)
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
8 oz container of parmesan cheese

mix all these together and bake @350 until it starts to turn brown.

Everytime I take this anywhere everybody raves about it. I use a pampered chef chopper to chop the onions you want them chopped pretty small. I also use kraft parmesan not generic on anything in this recipe. Use club crackers to serve with this and you can eat it cold or warm, I like it better cool.

Bacon wrapped cocktail sausages .... I've made them twice for parties in the last month, they were the first things gone! Super easy

These tortilla crisps are also really easy and very nummy (and addicting)

And I made this dip for the first time last week, it was REALLY nummy - I did the first one, with bacon with cheese (I used the leftover bacon from the bacon-wrapped sausages)

I like these, they're called minibouchées.

You buy the base and you decorate it with you have - pesto, cheese, butter, any kind of spread, mustard, olives, cocktail tomatoes, cheese, foie gras, salmon, whatever you like. It's all the nicer if you have a variety of them.

I supposed you wouldn't get this exactly in the US, but I think one could find some substitute, it's only important that there's a small base, just enough for one bite. :-)

For every party I go to I take whole wheat crackers and cream cheese covered with this jam. http://www.earthnvine.com/p-30ed-bell-pepper-ancho-chili-jam.aspx Their jams and sauces are AMAZING! They sell it locally here in the grocery stores but if you can't find it in the store, you can direct order from their site.

Of course the Costco Artichoke Jalapeno Dip is a hit around here too. I heat it up before serving but you can serve it cold too.

ok, every single one of you can answer to my DH on exactly WHY i am going to be making a 20 mile trip one way again today to town for all the supplies to make this yummy stuff!!! shame on you all...LOL!!!

Sausage balls are a huge hit around here, as is spinich dip served in a Hawaiian bread bowl.

Sausage balls are super easy: 1 pound of sausage, 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, 1 pkg of bisquick. Mix all together, roll into balls, and bake at 350 for about 25-30 mins.

And for spinich dip I buy the knorr's vegetable soup mix and follow the recipe on the pouch.

party pinwheels are always a hit in my house.

my grandmother also does pepperoni bread- it's basically a package of the rolled up pizza dough by pillsbury, a bag of shredded mozzarella, and sliced pepperoni. she rolls the dough out on a cookie sheet, and layers mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. then she folds in the sides and rolls it up. bakes it in the oven until it's brown (a little bit longer than the package of dough says), and slices it up. it's my dad's favorite.

Ooh something else that is so easy and so yummy...I use a smallish round pyrex dish and spread a package of cream cheese in it..kind of in the shape of the dish so that you have a hollowed out place in the middle...then I spread prepared pesto on top of that...it's good served cold with crackers or warmed in the oven for about 10 minutes...soo good and so easy :)

Our store had it's holiday sampling-- all are very easy recipes, that taste amazing. I tried everything, and these were my favourites:

Festive Feta Cheese Ball

(2) 8oz packages Kraft cream cheese softened
1/2 C crumbled Kraft Feta cheese
2 tsp Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing mix
1/4 C crumbled bacon, cooked

Outside layer--
1/4 C shredded parmesan
1/4 C Farmland crumbled bacon, cooked
1/2 tsp dill weed

Beat cream cheese until fluffy, add feta cheese, ranch mix, and 1/4 C bacon; mix well and shape into ball. Combine parmesan, 1/4 C bacon, and dill weed. Roll cheese ball in mixture. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate one hour until firm. Serve with Keebler toasted butter crackers.

Southwest Dip

2 blocks 1/3 less fat Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
1 can Green Giant southwestern corn, drained
1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix
1 can Rotel, drained

Mix cream cheese with dressing mix until well blended; stir in drained Rotel and drained southwestern corn. Chill 1 hour and serve with tortilla chips.

Those were my two favourites, appetizer wise.
