most romantic scene ever in a movie?

I love (really really love) romantic movies. I dont care if they are dramatic type romance or romantic comedy....any kind of romantic movie I adore. So today we are watching movies and my son wanted to watch Daredevil. Well the part where Ben Affleck and Jennifer Gardner are on the roof (balcony?) and it starts raining...I love that scene. It is just so sweet.

Another favorite is in Ghost when Patrick Swayze comes back right before he is going to go to heaven and says goodbye to Demi Moore and says to her "You know all the love you feel inside you. Well its beautiful here. You get to take it with you" or something along those lines. That movie makes me cry everytime I see it.

So whats your favorite?

Funny Girl where Fanny and Nick first kiss out on the street... oh! it gets me every time. And I'm a geek, I still love the upside-down kiss from the 1st Spiderman.

I have the weirdest favourite ever. End scene of Fight Club. If you haven't seen it, I won't describe it to you entirely, but I will tell you the line I love... He takes her hand, and looks at her, and says "You met me at a very strange point in my life."
I LOVE it.

Last night we saw Love and Other Drugs, and there was a scene that was particularly romantic, too. Jake's character Jamie gives a monologue to Anne's character Maggie, and it makes me cry. Maggie has Parkinsons, and she is afraid that her boyfriend won't want to be with her because she's sick, and no one should have to take care of her. I also am very sick, and I am afraid that my boyfriend will get sick of being with someone so weak all the time, who can't always do everything for herself, even though she's really strong willed... and after the movie my boyfriend assured me, in a long conversation he had, that he feels the same way Jamie does... :) :)

I totally cannot wait to see this movie!! I loved it just from the previews and now it sounds even better!

One of my favorites is when Edward comes for Eleanor in Sense & Sensibility and she realizes that he isn't married and breaks down. Then he proposes while Marianne and their mother hug each other outside. *swoon*

I'll admit... the first half hour or so, I was actually kind of bored with the movie- the previews made it look GREAT and it was just kind of okay... but the longer the movie went on, the better and better it got. I plan on buying it when it comes out, for sure!

I rented that movie and dont remember that scene. I will have to get it again because I remember I liked it alot.

Oh and 50 First Dates...the end scene gets to me everytime. Well the whole movie is so sweet. And again with Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore in The Wedding Singer. I love the scene in the airplane. Where he sings that goofy song to her and she realizes who it is and he comes through the doors. OMGosh...I told you I am a sucker for any romantic scene of any kind :)

I'm a sucker for all romantic movies so I'm not sure that I'd be able to narrow down my favorite movie scenes.

*I just thought of one. At the end of The Notebook (LOVE the entire movie and the concept) where he goes into her room and she remembers him and they die together. I bawl like a baby everytime!

I'm with Sharon! The last scene when Mayo comes to the factory where Paula works in his uniform and carries her off-my favorite ever!

i am such a sap when it comes to romantic movies.. LOL

I loved serendipity when they found each other at the skating rink..

I loved the notebook when they got off the boat and he was all "it wasn't over.. it STILL isn't over.." ahhhh

I agree with the scene Holly mentioned from The Notebook - that's my all-time favorite scene and I bawl each time, too!

Another favorite is the end of Pretty Woman, when Edward climbs up her fire escape..."She rescues him right back". Swoon.

How about that scene in Bridges of Madison County where Clint Eastwood unlocks his truck's door for Merl, but she stays with her husband. OMG... I so cried! :(

how has nobody mentioned the scene in Dirty Dancing when she goes to his room and asks him to dance with her .... AWWW! and then the end with the dance .... LOVE that entire movie :)

OK I love love love The Notebook. Every. Single. Minute!! I mean the scene where they are at the ocean and she says "Say Im a bird" Noah:"Ok you're a bird" She says "Now say you're a bird." Noah:"If you're a bird, I'm a bird" OMGosh!! Love that movie!!

I also love the scene in LOTR when Arwyn and Aragorn are standing and speaking elvish to each other. "I choose a mortal life." Aww!!

took me a second to get what LOTR is...never seen any of those movies. I know lots of people love them but I just never got into it.

Thanks Jessica. That font is called Edwardian Script ITC. The kit is from Kristin's new collection Tis the Season: Peace.

Seriously my favorite line in the whole movie!

One of my favorites is Never Been Kissed, when Josie is standing on the pitchers mound waiting for Sam, and the time clocks down, and she drops the mic. Then the crowd starts going wild as he comes running out the pitchers mound and he says Sorry I'm late, it took me forever to get here. Then Josie says I know what you mean. Then of course the KISS!! Totally awesome movie!

I also love almost any scene in A Walk to Remember.. Honestly the whole thing is just awesome!

Lets just say I pretty much love any movie with Drew Barrymore. And well any movie made from a Nicholas Sparks book.

Although A Walk to Remember the movie and A Walk to Remember the book were TOTALLY different! I saw the movie before reading the book. I dont like either over the other because the movie was really good but with the book I just pictured everything so different in my mind. Plus I loved the soundtrack of the movie so much. IDK It was just a great movie. If you have not read the book though you should. It made me cry

yea I thought so too!! I loved their whole date. I went to see this as a date movie with my husband and he loved it as much as I did :) One of the nice things about him when we go to the movie even if there is a action movie with all of his favorite actors if there is a sappy love story I wanna see we see it.

awww i loved the part in a walk to remember where he took her to the state line so she could stand in two places at once.. soo sweet :)

I love the scene in The Holiday when Jude Law kisses Cameron Diaz on the eye. It might be more steamy than romantic, but I love that.

Dirty Dancing, the entire movie! Just love it.

I have so many favorites, its hard to pick.

I love the scene in The Holiday when she runs back to the cottage and goes in and he's standing there crying. Aww!!

omg! how could I forget to mention this one???? i looooooooooooove it so much. and also have a funny memory of it because my sisters and i were up late watching it before we all got married and moved out, and when Elenor breaks down and starts sobbing my sleeping mother comes flying out of her room and down the hall thinking something was wrong with one of us, ha! she was totally frantic and confused and we laughed so, so hard!

AND, Cold Mountain when Jude Law and Nicole Kidman kiss right before he takes off for the war. ACK! It's so wonderful!
