most romantic scene ever in a movie?

I also love the scene in LOTR when Arwyn and Aragorn are standing and speaking elvish to each other. "I choose a mortal life." Aww!!

My friend recently got engaged. Her fiance told her beforehand, "I have a date plan for us, but you have to wear what I tell you to!" He had bought her replicas of the costumes they wore in that scene, and he proposed to her with a LOTR ring for her necklace! They were in a chapel in the woods at a RenFest. (The next day, he proposed to her with a REAL ring at dinner... lol).

I'm trying to wrack my brain thinking of a good romantic scene because I know when I'm NOT thinking about it I can think of dozens. The only thing that is coming to my mind is the the scene from Harry Met Sally LOL- not the restaurant scence lol. We just watched this ol' movie on Ion or something like that. Anyway the end was cute when Harry says something like: "When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible." I know I can think of something better... but this is all I got right now lol.

I love the scene in The Holiday when she runs back to the cottage and goes in and he's standing there crying. Aww!!

I'm a sucker for all romantic movies so I'm not sure that I'd be able to narrow down my favorite movie scenes.

*I just thought of one. At the end of The Notebook (LOVE the entire movie and the concept) where he goes into her room and she remembers him and they die together. I bawl like a baby everytime!

This is what I was thinking, too, only like the entire movie gets me. All time favorite romantic movie.

My all-time fav is The Notebook, but another on top of the list is Here on Earth where Kelley comes back and carries Sam into the renovated Mable's Table to carve their names on the wall...I cry every time!

Or how about when Aragorn starts running, hair flowing in the wind, with a band of ghosts behind him, to the rescue. I'm not much on being all romantic....but that made me swoon. Never thought I had a 'rescue ME' complex LOL
