I've been getting it for over 30 years! My first time was when I was a teenager staying with friends in Austria, and then had it as part of their breakfast every day on a tray with amazing breads, cheeses, meats, butter and the Nutella! (not all together obviously!). It was served at all the hotels we stayed at over there last year as well! I love it...and it's definitely a special treat here.
I had no idea Nutella wasn't common in the US. I grew up eating it and I grew up in West Virginia in the 1970s. Kroger sold it. I think the A&P did as well. Maybe it was a regional thing?
Ditto that...I was buying Nutella in Houston 20 years ago.
I wonder why the US took so long to get it? Usually Canada doesn't have all the "good" stuff! We've had it here forever - I remember eating it as a little girl...
Mmmmmmmm... You know, I might just have to go buy a jar next time I go to the store!
