Okay girls...here's the official thread. We're planning on being in Georgetown/Round Rock around 11:30. Being that it's a Saturday, it might be too busy at ChickFilA to meet. ours is always packed on Saturdays, no matter what time of day it is.

Can someone make some suggestions about good places to meet up where we can eat lunch and let the kiddos have some freedom?

I hope you guys can make it!
 
wish i could make the trek out from Houston! (we have Soccer on Saturdays, bah!)

i think we need to plan a big ol TX weekend scrapfest! ;)

I just asked my dh this week if he wanted to move to Houston, they have an opening in my job there. He said no. lol Have fun, girls!
 
I'm in... let me think of what's up near Gtown. In my area we have a Waterloo Ice House- nice playscape and yard for the kids to pay in... I'll look and see.
 
ANYONE that can make the drive is welcome, heheh

I think waterloo would be awesome (and YUM).. may even be able to get DH to come along....
 
I know the *perfect* place!! Mighty Fine burgers in Round Rock (next to Ikea) has an incredible playground outside. There are several other counter-service eateries there in the same little strip. We can chill out on the patio and let the kids play! Lots o' fun & I think it'll be central for everyone.

ETA: If it happens to be raining, we can always meet up at the children's play area in the restaurant inside IKEA. (?) I know IKEA'll be busy on a Saturday, but it'll work in a pinch!

I'll be really hard to recognize since I blend in so well and no one can EVER spot me in a crowd (:rolleyes::rolleyes: (Joke, heheh that I am sure Christine gets, heheh))
 
LOL!! I just have to laugh at the names here!

So, Texas has "Mighty Fine Burgers" and "Whattaburgers" (I know I'm spelling that one wrong!). Sorry...just got a giggle!!

I can't even send my son over to tell you all hello! He'll be here with me! I just sent him a ticket to fly home Oct 16.

I will be coming in the spring though, and I think Miss Darcy needs to make another trip down there....and Keely...you will NEED to be there!!!
 
OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I JUST realized that's UT vs. OU- Red River Rivalry game in Dallas. We've got tickets and we'll be in Dallas (I'm glad- those tickets are the hardest to get a hold of for the entire season, but bummed to miss it!!!!) I was so looking forward to meeting the font queen in person!

Austin-area girls: we've got to get together AGAIN sometime soon. Priscilla will have fun for me I know! :)

DH and I met 10 years ago on Texas-OU weekend (in Austin). I was visiting from Atlanta and he was at home for the weekend. Nothing to do with the UT/OU game, but that game always marks the anniversary of our meeting! :)

Oh, I can tell you if I wasn't going to be in Nebraska I would SO be driving to Austin! It is only 2 1/2 hrs from here! ROFL! Hope y'all have a GREAT time!!!

We've run into some problems this week so who knows... maybe we'll sell the tickets (we could pay off our season tickets for what we'd get for them), pocket some much needed cash and go to lunch with you gals instead. I'll keep you posted for sure!
Mighty Fine is great and about 3 minutes from my house too!
 
Mighty Fine is less than 5 mintues from my house AND DH will be out of town with our DS so it'll just be Emma and me! Yippee! Sounds like fun!
 
Sounds like Mighty Fine it is! We're shooting to be there by 11:30..but might get there sooner depending on potty stops and traffic.

Can I ask someone to coordinate? Can we call ahead and get tables set up? Can someone be the go-to phone person that we can call and do the phone tree if something happens, etc.?

I can't wait too see some of you again, and meet the rest! It'll be fun!!!
