I had my preemie! (w/pics!)

Big congratulations Brynn! He's beautiful.

Not to step on toes, lol. Yorick can be found in Shakespeare's play "Hamlet".

Oh my goodness!! Isn't he just the sweetest little thing???!!! Congrats!! I hope he will get to come home soon for you!! {{hugs}} And I hope you have a smooth recovery!

PS: I ADORE the name Phineas! I so wanted my Ezra to be a Phineas!!

Yorick.

Ahhhh.... alas, poor Yorick; I knew him, Horatio. Good job, girls!!

BUT...
he's actually named after a comic book character of the most amazing comic book series you girls have never read. (And you'd all love it)
It's called Y: The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughn (who now writes Lost, ladies, so come on, now you have to give it a try!! LOST!!!)

It's about a disease that wipes out the Y chromosome, killing every male on the planet. Including the animals...
Yorick is the main character, he is the enigma, he is the last man on Earth, in a world filled with women trying to pick up the pieces and get everything back together. The government, utilities, everything, imagine 50% of the population suddenly gone. It is amazing. Worthy of naming my firstborn after.

Go to Barnes and Noble, ask them to point you to the graphic novels section and sit down and read the first one while you're there. I promise you, you'll finish it quick and you won't leave Barnes and Noble without the 2nd and 3rd graphic novels. (I believe there are 7 or 8 graphic novels... it was a 65 issue series)

And... significantly, Yorick in the comic book is named after... Yorick from Hamlet, his father is an English professor. ;)

Phineas is named for my dh's 5th great grandfather, Phineas Pearl, who was rumored to have been a pirate. (and secretly, Phineas Nigellus Black, former headmaster of Hogwarts)

He is absolutely beautiful! Congratulations!

And what a big boy for being so early... that's great!! I hope he comes home very soon!

What a gorgeous little guy he is! Congrats! I'm glad all is going well! And that's a pretty good size for an early guy!

sounds like a very interesting read!

lol @ the part about your Phineas being secretly named after Phineas Black

just remembered that one of my old friends named her 1st born son Phineas after the character in A Separate Peace.
