zero embellishments...

does anybody have an example of this type of page? I want to see what one looks like as I'm taking zero embellishments to mean absolutely zero! No ribbons, flowers, swirls, scatters, alphas, etc, and I want to see what that would look like

I have this one in my gallery. I don't know if you count the swirly or not ;)

thanks ladies! Misty really is a great example of this isn't she? Even the ones that have embellishments don't have many on there. Thanks :)

When I think of this style, I think of something you might see in a magazine. The photos really are the focus with the text being secondary. "Clean" is the word that comes to mind for me. I definitely think Misty is the perfect example of this!

Thanks for opening this thread, the info and the examples. I had no idea what to do with that one too.

This one doesn't have zero, but very few. It doesn't even have paper, the colored squares are in fact just colored squares. lol

I absolutely love layouts made like Mistys, clean, crisp, white space! I think I'm going to have to try really hard to make more layouts like these. :)

I really want to try that challenge! I pretty much use every embellishment in a kit so it's time to step outside my comfort zone. Thanks for providing Misty's sample! Her page rocks!

To me, "No embellishments" means it's fine to use layered or shaped papers along with the photos and text. Am I interpreting that correctly?

Great examples! I just saw in the Bingo FAQ thread that Robin said only photos, text. and papers on our non-embellished pages.

Just adding some examples.

This one of mine only has paper:

As does this one:

And I have a whole book of these that don't even have papers:

And a another book of these that only used papers:

My older layouts in my gallery have a lot of examples of just papers, photos and words. Some have one or two embellishments that could easily be left off.

I am really struggling with this one too so I'm appreciative of seeing such great examples here.

A quick question - can we use shapes to clip papers to (eg from the PSE custom shapes library?)

Thank you for the examples ladies! This one will be a challenge - as intended, lol!

At the photography forum where I have spent most of my "forum time" in the last couple of years there is a LIKE button (as on Facebook) so as I'm scrolling and looking at awesome layouts here I keep wishing I could click on LIKE. :D
