The thing I love about scrapbooking is that it is always changing. There is always something new and fresh. I look back in my old scrapbooks and it is amazing to see just how far it has all come even in the span of 7years. My style is also changing at diffrent times. One of the things I like to do though is look back at my very first scrapbooks and see just how far I have come.
I thought it would be fun to post one of your very first layouts you did and then post one of your most recent layouts. I love to see how people have evolved in this craft and so I really hope you will participate. You can also tell what you liked or didn't like about that first layout.
I will go fist. I started out paper scrapping and so here is the very first page I ever did

I think really the only thing I like about this page is the cute pictures of my daughter. I did the title with letter stencils and I can't beleive how hidious it looks and what about the placement of those flower stickers. Not sure what I was thinking on that one.

Here's my first (paper) page ever. I did it at the Scrapbooking 101 class. Check out my layered title. I was so proud. LOL

I have tons of paper scrapped LOs, but my camera is charging so I can't take any pics right now. So instead I'll post one of my first digi ones.

I was so proud of that extraction at the time. It's still a technique that I just can't seem to master.

That is fantastic Tracey. I wouldn't even know where to start with the extraction thing! You should see my first digital layout. I would put a paper on another paper and then I would resize without keeping the proportions in balance so it would just distort the whole paper. Very hidious, trust me. And I had no clue about drop shadows.
 
Oh Amanda I dont think that was hideous honey!!! I actually love the colors you chose! I never actually did paper scrapping! I started right with digi. My first layout is actually in a photobucket because I had no concept of credits and well honestly it wasnt umm pretty LOL!! My second was a bit better but not by all that much LOL!

I'll play along! I'm not sure if this was my very first...but it's one of the first. Can you say hideous striped paper???? Although, I think I did a bang-up job on the mats (yes...I'm a paper scrapper at heart!). This would have been Dec. 2004 or Jan 2005:

Alright, you asked for it...lol! I'm too lazy to go find my first paper page, which was Creative Memories, so I'm sure you can guess how beautiful it was. ;) They improved slightly, but I never did get the hang of it.

Anyhow, here's my very first digi page, created in June 2004. Oh, and I wasn't using a program that was easy to work with, I don't remember what it was called but it was AWFUL. Once I tried PSE (for my second page) there was no looking back.

i'll play. lol. though, i didn't date any of my old stuff. so i can't remember which was first.

this one was pretty early, after i discovered the REAL way to do digital scrapbooking. the original "pages" were all done with like, drop-in quickpages. and have been LONG since deleted..
i actually have this one framed on my wall. cause i was so proud of it at the time.

Oh man, I don't even know where my 1st scrapbook is! It was a CM album of my DD's first year. Who knows where it ended up......

You guys are so awesome. I am so glad that you are playing along. This is so fun seeing how much you each have evolved. You all are very talented in my book!

I didn't know how to use the marque tool, so I just took ALL of the ribbons over. About 6 months into digiscrapping I discovered templates and I almost always use them now.

I never paper scrapped. I first attempted digi scrapping when I found out a scrap site was having a contest and the grand prize was a DSLR. Which was around Thanksgiving of 2007 I believe. I so had to try for it but I had never made a page! LOL! Funny enough I did win an honorable mention and a GC. LOL!! Anyhoo, here it is:

This is such a fun thread! I love seeing how much everyone has changed!

I'm a newbie to digi-scrapping, so I don't have any to share. I got my real start in message board signatures and I could show you some of those that are really hideous! LOL!
