WW ideas needed

Besides fresh fruits and veggies, what do you snack on? I was doing dill pickles, but the acidity is not agreeing with me, so I need some other ideas? Anything 3 points or less would be great for my afternoon droopsies at work. :)

I love popcorn but since my thyroid surgery, I can't eat it. It gets stuck in my throat and I end up coughing, etc... But some kettle corn would be delish, how unhealthy is that? lol

cottage cheese for 2 points
yogurt for 2 points
My absolute favorite snack/meal, etc, is 1 tbsp of Better 'N Peanut Butter (I get this at Whole Foods) on a tortilla and a banana. 1 tbsp of BNPB is 1PP and I buy 1PP tortillas. So for my 'snack wrap', it's only 2PP and it is SO filling.

That sounds so good Lena, and I am not even a huge fan of bananas but I love peanut butter. I haven't heard of this brand before and I don't think there is a Whole Foods around here, but I will have to check into it further.

I work for a company that makes the fruit that goes into your major yogurt brands so I do eat my fair share of yogurt and I eat cottage cheese everyday. It is one of my favs. :)

I totally agree with Lena. Better-N-Peanut Butter is the BEST!!! I eat an apple with 1 T of BNPB -- and that only equals 1 pt. Also, i'll pair some veggies (like cherry tomatoes and carrots) with a WW string cheese -- also 1 pt. And I also do WW yogurt -- 2 pts. I think the key for me is to pair a fruit or veggie and something else that is low pts. I also found the Fiber Select wheat thins garden veggie -- I think you get 15 wheat thins for 3 pts and they are really tasty.

Check out the BNPB website: here. There are recipes and stuff on there too. I found the low-sodium BNPB at my local Trader Joe's as well.

The Better 'n Peanut Butter sounds incredible!! Your peanut butter/banana wrap sounds delicious, Lena! I really need to make a trip to Whole Foods.

I also like the laughing cow cheese spread with crackers or on apple slices. Low PP tortilla chips and salsa is another of my favorite snacks.

I love a banana with peanut butter...yummy!

Some of my "go-to's"....

apple and fat free caramel dip
light string cheese and turkey pepperoni

My brain just went blank...I'll come back with some more. LOL!

There's BNPB and PB2, and people generally prefer one or the other. I have both in my cabinet and prefer BNPB a zillion to one. I suggest trying them both. Either are 1pp per tbsp and they spice up my menu a LOT :)

My low point go-tos were usually fruits, vegetables, popcorn, egg whites (omelet or hard boiled), and cottage cheese. But I also loved English muffin pizza. Depending on which cheese and english muffins you use, you may or may not be able to eat 2 halves for 3 points. But you could definitely do it for 4 or just eat half for 2.

Thanks for the link. I found it in a store about 20 miles away, but I can also order it on line. Considering how much I love PB, it sounds like it will be perfect. I saw they had a hot pepper one. Really? Has anyone tried that? lol

Thanks for the ideas every one. Please keep them coming. I had no idea how much I was limiting myself. I haven't had cheese in forever and I love cheese. WW string cheese and turkey pepperoni are on my list. :)

I saw that too...but haven't tried it. And I will be totally honest, I'm not usually a PB fan, but I LOVE BNPB and actually find myself looking forward to eating an apple with this.

One of my fave things is to wrap a piece of string cheese in a few slices of turkey breast. I buy the really thin sliced.
I also eat a few slices of this turkey with sliced cucumber.
Others I eat:
cottage cheese with blackberries (YUM - I love blackberries)
rice cakes
apple sauce
veggie chips (38 of them is 3 pts)
yogurt

I'm totally in love with cucumbers and baby bella mushrooms right now. I've not tried veggie chips yet so will have to see if I can find some. :)

Everyday I eat a thing of Greek yogurt with some granola added in. Also almonds. My favorite snacks though are celery with Laughing Cow cheese and hummus with pita chips.

Mari are you a Chobani fan? In a very short period of time, they have taken a huge part of the market share away from the traditional yogurt companies like GM and Dannon. Greek yogurt has totally surpassed all other types in sales and it looks like it will continue to grow for a good long while. My BF loves her "Cho" and when she can't get her black cherry in the store, she calls me up demanding to know when I am going to put the cherries on the schedule. lol

I had celery and Laughing Cow cheese for my afternoon snack today. Good stuff. :)
