Hi Girls!

As I posted last week I really struggle with my journaling and it appears I'm not the only one.

I'm going to start weekly journal prize challenges. This is meant to be easy and not stressful. Think of them as a starting block.

I'll pick a winner from those who participate this week to win a kit to my store. You have until Monday October 12th - 11:59 EST to post your layout in this thread to be entered.

Writing from the heart prompt #1 is pretty easy and straight forward:

LOVE this!!! I kind of unintentionally did this on my last page! ha! Don't enter me in the contest, but I'll share here anyways. :) I dont publicly share all my actual words (SORRY!) but this is about how grateful I am to have found scrapbooking and how cathartic it has been and has even encouraged me to go out and do more fun things (partially to have more photos to scrap, but anything that gets me off my booty is good right?!).

 
What a great idea! I hope other designers will do this too! I need to journal more. It takes so much time and effort but is worth it when you go back to look at some layouts to understand better what was going on.

I can't wait to get a page done for this. I always say that scrapbooking saved my life a few years ago, and now with almost 13 years under my belt, it's been around longer than my bestie, my kids, both of my marriages, any job I've ever had, and any place I've ever lived. :thumbup:

You know, for those doing BINGO this month, you could tie this in with one of the following challenges:

#10 Starts with the letter "S" (hello....scrapbooking!)
#8 Notebook or ledger paper (write your journalling on it)
#9 Obsessed (self explanatory)
#21 The rest is still unwritten
#11 Beautiful chaos (either your scrapbooking style, or the house that is now neglected. Haha!)
#5 Hint of mint (choose a few minty embellishments, or highlight some words in mint colours).
 
This is a great idea! I love challenges Kristin and often struggle to make pages abut myself. Bookmarking this thread.

Why I scrap? For me scrapping is an expresion of my creativity, my therapy, my joy and fun. A fun, that I can afford with my less money and where I get really great feedback, that gives me self-confidence. Besides I love to tell our story with the photos in the layouts. A story, that would be forgotten too fast and that shouldn't be forgotten. Because - and I learnt this from the community of the digi-scrapper - our story is important and should be told.
 
Thanks for the prompt! I was doing another layout thinking I would do it for this then realize I wasn't really journaling much, so decided to do a different one. :)

 
Great pages ladies!! Here's mine and I'm also using it for the Bingo Start with an S spot! Thank you for the challenge as I have such a hard time journaling!!
 
These are awesome layouts!! I'm away until monday for thanksgiving here in Canada so I'm going to extend the deadline until monday 11:59 est! That way we'll kick off each weekly contest from here on out on Tuesdays! Hope that works for everyone :)
