Brodo gettin her Swerb on
*Sorry for another wedding related post*
I'm so excited! I got our itinerary nailed down for our honeymoon. Turns out my original plan of going from Barcelona to Nice/the French Riviera and then Nice to Florence would take about 40 hours on the train. :blink: Not so much worth sitting on a train for essentially 2 days.
So instead we're going to fly from Paris (our first stop) to Barcelona, then fly from Barcelona to Rome, and then use the trains to get around all of Italy. It's cheaper overall even with the flights! SCORE!
So we're doing:
3 days in Paris
3 days in Barcelona
3 days in Rome
1 day down in Naples/Pompeii and then taking an evening train up to Florence
2 days in Florence
Then a morning train to Venice, spend a day there (the overall sense we're getting is that Venice isn't all that awesome, which is a bit of a disappointment) and then take an evening train to Milan
1 day in Milan
Morning flight to Athens, spend the night there
Morning flight back to Milan, spend the night there again
And then fly home from Milan.
Phew! It's gonna be a whirlwind!:thumbup::thumbup:
