DH just called! His first leave is scheduled for Sept 5-8!!! That means in 16 short days we'll see him for the first time in 3 months!!! I want to cry that it's only 3 days but it's better than nothing!
 
Yay! I'd be dead by now. My dh went out of town for a week once, I talked to him on the phone mostly every day. On day 6 when he called, as soon as I heard his voice I started crying.

I'm a loser. LOL
 
Wow, so happy for you and can imagine how excited you are to see him after so long! I'd die if my DH was gone for that long...
 
Yay!!!! I wish I could even hear David's voice....this stinks!

Do you have big plans for your 3 day weekend? I'm sure your ds is so excited too that daddy is coming home! :)

No big plans we're going to hole up in our house and lock the door and have 3 days together. I told DH not even to tell his mother he's coming home b/c I sure don't want my inlaws driving up and wasting a whole day kwim? I know that sounds selfish but we only have 3 days and I want him to myself.

I haven't told Avery yet...he's still so little he doesn't really understand and if I said "daddy's coming home" he'd think I meant right now and then he'd be upset when he didn't show kwim?

It'll be so fun to watch Avery see him for the first time at the airport though. I don't know if I'll be able to get pics b/c I'll probably be bawling lol
