Wish me luck everyone - tomorrow I am RUNNING my first 5k (I did one with my son last year, but it wasn't really full running - this one is all about me!). It is going to be COLD here (ahh, talks of even the potential of snow!) But I'm determined, nothing will stop me - and I'm going to run the full thing even if it kills me! But here's hoping that it does not.... :p Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can do this thing!

I'll be back tomorrow to let you know how it goes!! (ps, i have a few pms to attend to, I'll be more able to focus on them tomorrow afternoon I'm sure!)
 
Oh wow!!! Good luck, Shawna! I'm sure you'll do awesome--just thinking about you crossing that finish line is thrilling! :D
 
I need all the dirt! My first one is in a few weeks. I'm kinda nervous. Did the first 10 minutes seem the worst, or the last? Did it snow? How early did they make you get there?
 
good luck...wish I lived closer I would run it with you {even though I would probably die!!!}

Awesome!! Good luck Shawna! I sure wish I could run...that would be a good excuse to leave DH with the four boys but I feel so uncoordinated when I run!! LOL. I can't wait to hear all about your race!
 
I DID IT!!!! I was super proud, no stopping, no walking... although i did do a drive by water cup gulp so I guess that wasn't exactly at a run :P It was super fun, but also SUPER crowded, I could not believe how many people were there!!!

Oh, and I just looked up my time - 33 minutes!! That about a 10 and a half minute mile, which for me is super fast! LOL :) YAY!! Thanks for the well wishes ladies, they helped me chug up that hill at mile 2.5!

Now I'm ready to do it again!!!
 
Yay Shawna! I'm so proud and impressed of you! I'm looking outside right now and it's snowing here. Aren't you glad the run was before this wet mess?
