So I had a wine and cheese party last year and it was ok but this year I want to change it up a bit. I want to do 2 tasting tables, 1 for all the reds and one for all the white wines. I am thinking of a red table cloth and a white table cloth for the tables and this time I will provide all the cheese. Last time I had everyone bring 1 wine and 1 cheese to pair with it but the cheese didn't really go over so well, no one ate any I couldn't believe it cuz I love CHEESE! :D

Anyway, I want to have a little prize for the person of the winning wine. I needs Gift Basket Ideas....Any thoughts my creative ladies out there?

Wine parties are so fun! How about a gift certificate to a local winery or wine store? Also, have you thought about doing fondue?

OOOOHHHHH How fun!!! I would LOVE that!

Don't forget the good chocolate for your deeper reds! :)

As for a gift basket, what about a bottle of wine with some wine jewelry, and maybe a few hand-made recipe cards?

chocolates are a must! :D I think I will borrow my friends Chocolate Fountain!!! :D Wine Charms I have tons of! I will have to get some more to give away in the gift baskets, Recipe Cards are a good idea....Hmmmm Anything else ladies?

I'd probably just go to CostPlus World Market right there in Lynnwood and pick up lots of little wine accessories. They have TONS of stuff! Fun wine stoppers, lots of different cork screws, decorative wine bags, etc .... I love that store!

Excellent Idea Sheri I didn't even think about that store but you are right its perfect! :D See I knew I could count on you ladies!

Sounds like fun! I know here at the wineries they always have bowls of flavored pita chips to snack on too.

I can't believe they didn't eat the cheese! Wow...that's the first thing I would've went for!

I don't know how much you want to spend, the Lolita wine glasses (they are handpainted) are really cool...if you want one nice fun gift!

I know right...I mean Cheese how can you not want to eat cheese?! Those wine glasses are cute though they are pricey.

OK, this may sound dumb but I never heard of a wine party  Can somebody explain?

And - I would definately go for the cheese!!!
