Windows 11 -- Finally worth it?

I know we've had Windows 11 discussions before, but I wanted to start a new thread because Windows has made some (more) updates to Windows 11. I'm curious if anyone out there is happy they went from 10 (or 9, or whatever lol) to 11? My biggest issue--the one that has stopped me from updating--is how 11 didn't support folder preview images; but I read they have changed that and now you can easily see your FOLDER .jpg image as your folder's preview image (as in, I don't need to download a plug-in or whatever. The preview image shows up just like it does in 10.) I know a thread from here said that only pro accounts had access to preview images...has that finally changed?

Thoughts? Good or bad, they're all welcome!

I don't have the "pro" version but am a beta tester so I'm not exactly sure if previews are now generally available. I love the latest update so far! I'm not at home this weekend but can check when I'm home Sunday for you!

I've got the Home version and finally got the preview feature. Although it is not exactly like the feature in previous versions but it is better than no preview at all. My folders now look like an envelope with a part of an image peeking out.

I got it April 2023 which was quite awhile after the Pro version got it.

I'm an update pretty immediately type. As the tech changes things often don't work as well if you let the updates pile up.

I have 11 Pro so I've had folder preview for a while. I think they released that to us pretty quickly

Yeah, they held it back for the Home users for a long time. I did update as soon as it was available to me.

I am a bit timid to update yet. The desktop PC I use to scrap is old enough that I don't think it will ever update, and that might be a good thing!

That's usually me, updating asap...but some of the things about 11 just didn't sit well with me. I'll probably do the update tonight, if I'm able to make sure *everything* is backed up to the Cloud and my EHDs. Otherwise I guess it might be tomorrow's task lol.

So I back up my photos to Amazon Prime Photos. It's taking for.ev.er! So I haven't updated yet. Sigh.

Yes, let us know what you think! I'm probably going to need a new laptop in the next 6 months, and not wanting to go to 11 is part of what's holding me back. If love to know if it's better now!

DITTO, to both of these things! Like, I want what 10 has, but this is better than nothing.

I've been uploading photos to Amazon all day, and it's still so slow! It's weird. I've tested my wifi strength so I know it's not me. Anyway, maybe I'll be done tomorrow night rofl.
