Will some kind Twilight fan tell me 1 thing?

I came late to the Twilight party, so I just started the books a few days ago. I'm through the first 2 and am definitely on Team Edward. But all the Team Edward vs Team Jacob threads I've seen (but not read) in the forums has me worried. If the series is going to end another way, I think I need to prepare myself for it. I don't want to know too much, just a yes or no. Does Bella end up with Edward? Thank you!

ok....after I read them I didn't understand the question of teams personally. I was really confused......

Does that help at all? lol

Ack! This is stressful, LOL. The reason I read so many romance novels as a teen was that the happy ending was a guarantee. These days I love Jodi Piccoult, but I go into her books knowing that there's a good chance disaster will strike at the end. I plan to keep reading either way--couldn't stop if I tried, LOL.

It might...as of where I am now, Jacob doesn't seem like a real romantic possibility for Bella. So I'm going to hope you mean that he never seemed like one to you in the last 2 books either. (I wish there were a 'fingers crossed' smiley!)

You seriously just need to keep reading....I couldn't stop and read them in 3 days because I was sooooo worried like you are now! lol

Have to agree with Crystal in that I didn't really get why there were individual teams for Jacob and Edward for Bella. I think maybe it was more in terms of who was hotter or something, lol. But I AM Team Edward, and I love the series. Just keep reading :D

Of course you agree with me! ;) But I am with you and I guess it was just a hotness thing?? I don't know.....lol

I'll be through them in under a week. The 1st took me about 48 hours, the second 24 hours. I had to cancel my Amazon order and get the last 2 locally because there was NO WAY I could wait for them to arrive.

Feeling a little better about the ending now. The next question is whether I can go to sleep without starting book 3...

I think the whole "team" thing is just that some like people like Edward and some people like Jacob better. I love them both, but for Bella there was never a question for me as to who I liked for her.

I think Jacob was SO the logical choice. She could have his babies, stay in a relationship with her parents and NOT have to live forever as the undead.

And don't forget, Stephanie is an excellent author. She makes the stories believable.

Funny, I never even questioned the whole Edward/Jacob thing as I am an optimist by nature. Just keep reading you'll be glad no one told you the outcome!

Just like Kelly pointed out, there are strong arguements on either side of the line as to who Bella should end up with. She loves Edward with all her heart and soul, but she truly cares deeply for Jacob as well. Plus, she could have a normal life with Jacob.

I never doubted who she would end up with, but there's definitely points for arguing either team.

I think I love Jacob for all the reasons I love my husband- He is real-down to earth-a salt of the earth kinda guy...
Edward is the guy you always dream of-the one that consumes your entire world, who without his mere presence you feel like you can't draw breath...I have moments where my hubby makes me feel like he is Edwardish, but for the most part he is my Jacob...
I was always torn-I mean if I had to pick...I don't think I could.

I agree! I mean I really don't get it! Maybe you girls are right on the hotness thing! lol

just keep reading :)

OK as someone who LOVES to be spoiled and HATES it when people refuse to give me info that I ask for, I'll tell you that if you'll send me a PM and you *really* want to know, I'll tell you.

Seriously, I always read the end of the book first. I search for spoilers on tv shows. I don't get the whole "I don't want to ruin it for you" thing. I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want to know. You know?

OMG, I'm totally like that--seriously. Drives my family and DH nuts. And YES, before I even bought the Twilight books I totally read the synopses all on Wiki :p I've got themoviespoiler.com and thebookspoiler.com bookmarked. When I get hooked on a TV series, I'll totally comb the 'Net and look for the transcripts to episodes.

...yes, I'm quite sad. :D

But for some weird reason, it really doesn't affect how I'll enjoy something :D

I think the team lines were drawn before the books gave you the answer.......but for the fans I don't think it really matters who Stephanie wrote Bella with.....it's who you think she should be with. (or maybe it's who YOU would like to be with!)

To answer your question: yes, Bella ends up with Edward with an unusual twist to Jacob.

Thanks everyone! I usually don't want to be spoiled at all for books, but I've gotten very invested in these characters. I just needed some reassurance that I wouldn't be disappointed with where the series leaves them. I know enough now. I wonder if my family would mind if dinner was peanut butter sandwiches so I could go read, LOL.

On the other hand, with TV shows I love to be spoiled. I think it's because you have to wait at least a week to get more of the story and individual storylines play out over months. Waiting and I don't get along too well.

my hubby lived off fast food when I was reading them, and I read in the car on trips so he always had to drive, and I read on my lunch break! lol my students thought I was crazy because most of them already read it! :D

Ohhh I'm team Jacob 100% (I even have a t-shirts)
I love Edward in book one... but the Jacob character, as someone pointed, is more down to Earth: is a good friend, is up to date (not a 90 year old mind in the body of a teen), let Bella be (Edward is too possessive for my taste) plus is hot and passionate )I still remember my teen days and if the guy I'm passionate for keeps breaking our kisses I would be in jail for murder).

I always knew that Edward and Bella would end together... but for ME Jacob is the one!
Did I tell you he is HOT!!!

Truth is, you're going to feel a void anyway when you read the last one, because well, it's the last one...............

I finished last night. Aaaah, happy sigh. I loved the ending. Tonight I get to watch the movie. Is it sad if I start rereading the series tomorrow, more slowly this time?
