How many of you use your Wii quite frequently and what are your family's favorite games?

We're looking for a new family game for Christmas.

our fav is mario kart or super mario bros. my kids are both asking for the design studio (think that is what it is called) and the new epic mickey games.

I don't think I've ever used it! lol
HOWEVER...
My boys use our's all the time and my husband will play with them too. They love the Wii Sports and the other Wii games disk that came with it. They also like to play the Mario games and Lego games. My hubby really wants to get Donkey Kong for the three of them too.
Oh, and they really (I mean a lot) love that annoying bunny game. lol Let me go hunt it up and I'll tell you the name.

LOL, do you mean the raving rabbids games? I have Rayman Raving Rabbids, and I LOVE it. So do my girls. They love all the mini games  Not sure if that's the one you mean or not, but those are cool games.

We loooove the New Super Mario Bros, that's a good one. And Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

lol yup that one.

This year I want to get Wii Party. We love Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart. We are getting the Raving Rabbits free so waiting for that one to come!! Oh and I heard Just Dance 2 is really fun

I would think so, Kellie. My girls are mostly 'button-pushers' lol, and they do just fine! I'd think if he could, if you showed him what buttons do what, like kick, jump, and all the other stuff they do... But it is a bit hard to follow where your character is on the screen sometimes with all of them flying around the place, and getting bounced off the screen, sometimes the fights are fast paced, depending on how many people are playing. My girls play on 2 player together- they can completely set it up themselves, pick their players, and level, and playing together, they aren't going up against a computer player who'll beat them every time - although, I believe you can even pick the level of skill thatthe computer player has that you go up against. My girls are 5...

Do you know anyone who has it who would let you check it out first? Or a used video game store nearby that would let you test it out? I'd hate to recommend it and have him not like it, or not get the controls... Does he play other games on the wii?

New Super Mario Brothers, Super Mario Galaxy, and the Toy Story 3 game are the top played in my house :)

I really want to check out the Kirby Yarn and the new Donkey Kong... I may end up buying those for our family this year.

Our favorite is Wii Sports Resort. As a family we play golf, bowling, archery, and the swordfighting. My husband and the boys also love to play Mario Kart but it drives me crazy so I don't play that. LOL The two boys (age almost 19 and 7) play Super Mario Galaxy I and II a LOT. Good for all ages. We also have Toy Story Mania, but honestly we haven't ever played it. I need to get it out. For Christmas the only multi-player game that we are getting is the Club Penguin Game Day because I have a huge Club Penguin fan.

My girls love Sports Resort and Just Dance. Just Dance 2 is on the Christmas list, they haven't asked for any other game though.

traci can you tell me about epic mickey? I bought it tonight for the kiddo for x-mas but i am kinda hesitant about it. or are you saving it for x-mas too...LOL

My 6 year old and husband are the main users of the Wii and one of the Lego games {Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman or Harry Potter} is usually the game of choice. I'm sure if we had a Pokemon game for the Wii my 6 year old would be all over it but he only has them for his DS.

I've been wondering about it too... the hubs is holding out buying it for the boys because he hasn't heard much about it and doesn't know if they'll actually be able to play it.

My daughter has asked for the new Wii Fit for kids game. We also like Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, Just Dance and Just Dance 2.

A good one that we have, if you have girly girls that like to sing and dance, is Boogie Superstar. It's even fun for adults! It's a favorite at our house.

We've got Super Mario Bros. for the DS and am wondering if it'll be just the same for the Wii. I finished all the levels back when we had SNES, so I don't want it to get "old", but we were thinking about buying that as a family game for Xmas.

we got a Wii last week!! the RED one!! annnnd....i couldn't wait til christmas so we opened it lmao. right now we just have whatever came with it; Wii sports and New Super Mario Brothers. but we plan on getting some of the dance games (my oldes loves to dance and i want to play too lol), Mario Kart, and i want that drawing pad i just saw on tv. and that Epic Mickey looks neat too! i'm excited lol
