Why is scrapbooking December SO hard?

I am wrapping up my pocket album for 2013 and I have the week of Christmas 2/3rds scrapped and just the last week to start... It's so hard though!!! I think after the busyness of season and then working with Christmas products since November... I'm all festived-out.

Is there anything that you find hard to scrap?
 
I like to scrap December layouts around August... ;)

Hardest to scrap...major holidays. Those pages always feel more 'forced' to me...
 
Anything where I have a ton of photos, which can mean anything from a busy PL week to a birthday. Narrowing the photos down is hard, and even my "narrowed" down selection is usually big enough to be tricky to scrap with. One of these days maybe I'll learn to choose 2-3 photos from a big event and call it done! (Sure I will, LOL.)
 
Word. It's hard to scrap at all in December, but even now, it's like pulling teeth to scrap last month.

I often have a hard time scrapping things that are really important to me; I want to get it right.
 
I put a lot of effort and planning into birthday parties & Christmas, so I always find it hard to scrap the actual events after weeks of work.

^^ that! the only ones that I really love scrapping are fourth of july pics. I feel like christmas pics look the exact same every year so i'm basically scrapping the same pages every year. Plus I have tons of christmas related pics from november-december so its not just in december, lol! i totally feel you
